The price tag on starting QBs is only going to go up and it’s not easy to find starting caliber QBs. We’re also in a window period where we need to go for it, so I don’t blame the FO for determining Dak is their guy and wanting to get a contract done now. You have to pay market price.

‘Market price’ is $60 million over the next three years with two franchise tags at your disposal.

Little shocked. I knew a deal was coming but this is on the higher side of what I expected. Oh well, we knew Jerruh was going all in on Dak...

Is it just me, or aren't we at the end of the week?

I care about the cap figure more than how much. I believe I saw a post that since it is an extension the cap number will actually be lower than what he is going to be getting since it can be spread out over more years.

6 year $120M contract for Dak.

If he wants $27M+ a year; I let him play out his contract and see how he performs this upcoming season with a tougher schedule.

$27M-$30M+ is a number for Mahomes since he put up large numbers and his team advanced to the AFC Championship game with an atrocious defense.

Sweet, now Wentz will get 40/yr and Mahomes will get 50/yr and every team with a decent, young QB is going to get busted to Heck and back.

Market price is giving your QB a contract extension that is comparable to what other starting QBs get. I don’t think it necessarily wise to play hardball with the person you expect to be the leader of your team. When you’ve identified your man, you give them a fair contract (market price)

Geez, it's like marrying a gal who was always a cheap date and the first thing you hear after marrying her is that she needs a new Jaguar. :(

Lol this guy took a quote of jones saying he has no problem paying Dak what hes worth and then the star telegram writer saying which could be 27-30million dollars per season. i think you need to research what u post before posting it.
Nothing anyone in this forum says is going to change what’s going to happen lol if you think
Dak won’t get paid that much you’re going to be real disappointed

that's the thing. Have we identified our man? And I'm not talking about Jerrah being a homer, but do they know that Dak is a franchise QB? If they are wrong, it just shows how opposite from the patriots we are in being a well run organization.

If Dak wants $30M a year, I would rather the Cowboys to see if AR is available via trade after next season if Green Bay has another bad season.

Dak will get close to 30 average. Chiefs have already said that Mahomes will be close to 40 when they extend him in 2020.

My only question for you is if we don't sign the players, why do you feel the need to tell us? It's ok, your time to shine cuz you know .... Lol
There was one point to this thread and it was that Dak is getting 25M+, if you want to argue should or shouldn’t start another thread.

Dak is not worth $30M.

Take away Zeke and allow opposing teams to scheme for Dak...

And Dak will look like Goff did in the SB but during the regular season.
