3 yr, 10 mil...too rich for our blood. But don't worry...Jerry is serious about winning this year, for really real.

They changed it. It’s 3 years, 30 million. 10 per year

I’m with you man. I was angry when I first read that

Ngata, Jernigan WERE decent..but not the answer. I commend the iggles GM Rosen for trying to get better at least. Jackson is hardly an upgrade over those guys.
you need 8 good linemen on D. The Eagles have 5 right now. Expect one more in tier 2 free agency, and a couple more in the first two days of the draft.

Nobody is overrating him. We are simply underrating the impact of the DT position.
DT is not as glamorous but every bit as important as DE. Stop the run and get in the QB's face. Great DTs can impact the game as much or more than great DEs. imHo.

30 MILLION FOR 3 YEARS...OK, got it now. I regress, I think its wise we passed on this deal. THAT SAID, WHERE THE HELL ARE THE IGGLES FINDING THE MONEY?!!!!

It’s called having a good GM in a league where the cap is easily manipulated.

The best thing the Jones’ have done for themselves is to convince the fans to be afraid of the big bad salary cap monster. There’s a difference between can and willing to spend. $ isn’t hard to move around in the nfl for a team willing to spend that has winning as #1 priority... Jerry just isn’t willing. And why would he when he has a complacent fan base giving him $ by the boat load with no results necessary?

Arguing for the sake of splitting hairs isn't my thing. Im too old for nonsensical crap. Stay on point. Do you think the iggles improved by losing Bennett and signing Jackson to this deal? You know my answer already.
Yes?

They have Graham, Barnett and Long at DE. Barnett was out all year and they're getting him back.

They had Cox, an over the hill Ngata, a broken down Jernigan, and practise squad guys at DT.

In what world is that not an upgrade?

Seriously? 3-years $10 million?

While we pay that much to a stiff like Tyrone Crawford for one year?

If those numbers are true, Never again wonder why this team fails!

Never!
:banghead:

Am I missing something here? It looks like Scheft's report is saying $30 million (averaging 10 million a year).

No, the original report was inaccurate. That's why I mentioned "If those numbers are true", they seemed crazy low at the time.

I'm actually okay with this now that the true figures are out where I'd actually consider it an overpay.

At $3M, would have been a steal.

Based on what Howie Roseman likes to do, and the fact it’s only a 3 year deal, I can already tell you how it’s structured. It’ll essentiallly be 2 years/16 millions for a third year at 14m$ with no guarantees left. If he’s awesome, they keep him, if he’s fitting in, they extend him and reduce at that last year number, if he’s not, they cut him after 2 for 8 mil per. The first year cap hit is probably around 6mil too.

Ya'll ever think that maybe guys like Malik Jackson just wanted to go to Philly or maybe just didn't want to go to Dallas?

Good signing for Philly I can't hate on it.
