The guaranteed money is less than 3 Million and the veteran minimums are close to a million per year for players with his time in the league. Any veteran FB would cost you this much or more and few of them are the receiving threat that Olawale is.

We can draft some grunt in the 7th round this year and pay them $480k to do exactly what Olawale does.

I think he was tied with the three-named linebacker who they also deftly managed to keep.

Whew!

Olawale played the second most special teams snaps on the team last year, slightly more than Rod Smith, but trailing Damien Wilson.

The Cowboys coverage teams last year were not good. It's not as if bringing Olawale back improves that. And certainly not for three seasons.

Jerral traded for Olawale last season after we lost Keith Smith. Did you really expect him not to extend this clown?

Did you miss the sarcasm?

That explains why Bo Scarborough and Darius Jackson are tearing up the NFL.
If you're attempting to say Olawale is a more sure investment than Scarborough, Jackson (who aren't even FBs), or a late draft pick, you may want to use someone else.

Olawale is less than useless.

Tyler Clutts was 10X the fullback Olawale has been for us.

I can't believe all the complaining about this. We were going to have a fullback, Olawale is a good one and the cost is about what should be expected. I know fans are surly over Dallas not bringing in outside FAs, but it makes us look pretty stupid when we complain about a move like this.

Let me ask you this - is a replacement level player like Olawale worth sinking any guaranteed money into, no matter the number big or small? Guys like him can be found on the scrap heap every offseason. He played 10% of the offensive snaps, and 62% of the ST snaps. That could be filled with a rookie FA or some other vet on a one year deal.

I think last season was Olawale's worst season but 1) this isn't much money and 2) this is clearly about the new offense Kellen Moore is putting in rather than what Olawale did under the High School offense Linehan was running last year.
Is this the same Kellen Moore who was there all last year working with and inputting his wiews on that brilliant offense with his mentor SL and helping Dak be a average QB? So the SL disciple boy genius will save the day not the brilliant offense mind JG. You have secret knowledge of this new offense, please share it with us.
