Olawale is actually a talented reciever/runner relatively speaking for a fullback.

My problem with him is he’s not a good lead blocker, at least not the type I want.

Whether he is good or not as a pass catching or running FB...problem is we don't even bother using him enough in that capacity to make a difference. Somehow I don't think Moore magically changes that but who knows.

The timing of this announcement should be all anyone needs to understand that Jerry and Stephen view us all as ignorant rubes and have no intention of improving the team and competing for Super Bowls. This is not a coincidence. They knew all along they would not sign ET or any other free agent that doesn’t come at a huge discount. They held this signing to be announced whenever an ET signing was reported like that would soften the blow and give us something else to talk about. That something else I’m talking about to myself is finally seriously trying with all my might to break myself free of this team. I am simply tired and bored with the lack of desire to win a championship, the clown coach who seemingly has tenure with Jerry and his ridiculous fantasy of Garrett outlasting and outdoing Tom Landry, the simpleminded and outdated schemes, and the underachievement of the seriously ill prepared players. I doubt this will be my last post but I am going to try try hard to make it close to it.

I think he was tied with the three-named linebacker who they also deftly managed to keep.

Whew!

Everytime I see that guys name I think of Matthew Lillard (cereal killer from the movie hackers or Shaggy from Scooby Doo movies).

$5.4 Million over 3 years is $1.8 Million a year, which from a salary cap perspective falls into the category of who gives a crap, we can drop him in a heartbeat.

I'm not saying this is a good move, I'm saying whatever; he lead the team in special teams tackles and it fills a position.

LOL! Honestly just screw this front office. Jerry absolutely deserves a home boycott and a zero win season. Fans don’t but he doesn’t care. Pure incompetence.

Ya,I'm hearing you,Man. I Can't recall even noticing the #49 out on the playing field more than the heavy end of a half dozen times anyway.

I think last season was Olawale's worst season but 1) this isn't much money and 2) this is clearly about the new offense Kellen Moore is putting in rather than what Olawale did under the High School offense Linehan was running last year.

I figured he'd re-sign. Not the top fullback on the market, but fine for how much we use the position.

I'd actually like to see Moore do a better job of getting him involved because he is a pretty good receiver out of the backfield and has enough running ability to be used as a surprise. He was a Pro Bowl fullback a few years ago when the Raiders used him well.

$5.4million to play what, 5 snaps per game?

This team's FA ineptitude is laughable.

The guaranteed money is less than 3 Million and the veteran minimums are close to a million per year for players with his time in the league. Any veteran FB would cost you this much or more and few of them are the receiving threat that Olawale is.
