These repetitive threads are getting miserable. We didn't sign who you wanted at way above his value waaa cry me a river. It's day 1 of free agency not 1 day til training camp, this team will make moves. Outside of help on the DL & replacing Heath this is one of the most talented rosters Dallas has had since the 90s.

You get a thumbs up for at least admitting that.

I'm having a hard time understanding why people think if Garrett fails that they would name Moore head coach. That would be ridiculous.

Hasn't the entire process with Kellen Moore been "ridiculous"?

I mean he couldn't physically play at the NFL level, but they allowed Linehan to bring his pet project to town with him and gave him a roster spot for several years.

Then, when he showed he couldn't play, they still wouldn't just release him and kept him around as the backup when it was clear the other guy was better.

Next, they handed him their quarterbacks coach job despite never having coached a day in his life!

Followed by a promotion to an offensive coordinator job after barely warming the seat as quarterback's coach!

Moore has followed Garrett's "failing upwards" trajectory from the very beginning, so while I might be dismayed and disgusted, it would not surprise me one bit if the idiots in charge ultimately decided to make him their next head coach.

While I'm already on the ledge this offseason, let's speculate why we are where we are right now at this moment.

First we have Jerry and Stephen talking about how they really, really want to win this year...which is strange and could mean just the opposite, since they never seemed to care too much over the last, oh, decade or so.

Keeping Garrett probably indicates they mean to promote Moore (Genius 2.0) to HC in 2020 and repeat Garrett all over again, but what if the rumors about Sean Payton are true?

What might be an incentive for Sean to tolerate Jerry? Well, a top 10 pick and some cap cash might help.

This might explain why we are sitting on our hands in FA, (although I know we always do that), and possibly low-balling our own.

So I ask you, would Jerry, who is all about revenue, risk TV ratings and one year closer to his coffin in order to reap rewards in 2020? I guess what we do with Tank will be very telling.

Or maybe this is a lot speculation designed to create a little added soap opera ....

Another pathetic post. Dude. It’s the freakin first day of free agency draft more then a month away , off season in full effect and you think we are purposely tanking. Sure Jerry. Goes and gives a 1st for amari mid season fires a coach and gets the team turned around because he wants to lose. Never just because you don’t agree with not getting the overpaid first tier fa doesn’t mean squat. He fired lineman to get better not worse. Knee jerk over reaction to Moore being promoted. He may be good may be bad but he wasn’t hired to lose incurable that. If Jerry wanted to lose bring back Linehan and extend Garett and trade dak zeke and tank. You know like the giants. They are looking to tank. That’s obvious.

Awwww...maybe you should take a break from the site.

If you followed this team for any length of time, you would know there is no need for added drama. There's more than enough to go around the planet twice.

Like Blueblood, maybe you should take a break from the site.
No real faves don’t use this site to rip the team and declare their teams losers 6 months before kickoff. Just miserable fans who like to complain and be internet GMS. get a clue. September 1st -February is our time to judge and complain. Off season moves and contracts are useless topics.

But yet here you are, calling out another thread you don't like. Wouldn't it be easier to just not enter a thread that is so ludicrous to you?

No, just think it's dumb to call yourself a Cowboys fan then bash them for every move they make or don't make. They've did this for the last several years when it comes to free agency what made you think this year would be different?

It would be almost unthinkable on most teams, but Garrett was promoted on the basis of being a genius. Moore is being touted as the same, though he has done nothing at the NFL level to warrant a promotion to QB coach, much less OC. Now, if he turns out to be great at OC, well, who knows. But I can totally see this team ushering him in to be the next puppet regardless of how he does at OC. Or...there are the Payton rumors...

There is always attention on the Cowboys just because they are high profile. It’s been that way since the 70’s. But most of the drama comes from media and fans. Cowboys fans are stirred up and frustrated because the Cowboys can only seem to get so far and then hit a wall, and the media takes advantage by throwing out stories and teasers they know fans will latch onto and turn into melodrama, and the fans are eager to bite. It’s what turns a comment like, “we like the guys we have at DE” into “we like every player we have at every position every year and never see any need to upgrade”. That’s how fans twist things.

I love it when angry fans make false claims to support their narrative, like I bash "every move they make". I have bashed many, many moves they didn't make over the last several years for certain. Countless. And I will never apologize for calling out my team when I feel they are failing to improve or give fans what we deserve. Sorry if that upsets you, sport, but I'm just not a casual fan.
