Sure, we signed a guy for nothing who may have upside that may be another Terrell McClain but now we have two "C. Covingtons" so I'll have to write out their full names. Jerry sucks.
You could prefix the names dl and lb

Solid.
300 pounders who can get to the QB more than once are always valuable. And he’s apparently a monster vs the run.

According to walterfootball( if you care) 3 and a half stars excellent vs the run , 7th best DT in free agency only 25
This.

I said a few weeks ago he won't break the bank and is literally better than both of are current starting DT
DT I would like Richardson or Henry Anderson if they go cheaper on safety (both would be huge upgrades but will command decent salaries). If they go all in on safety then I would eyeball Wilkerson, Malcom Brown and Danny Shelton (all 3 would be significant upgrades). Christian Covington is for sure the biggest upside due to his age and consistency, I would 100% offer him a deal and make him a starter (he's the type of guy will mcclay likes, upside and immediate value). You could have enough to sign two of the DT's listed and still have enough to get a run defender upgrade like Hankins or Margus Hunt (both won't command much)
This was an excellent pick up. If we get one more upgraded DT and an upgraded safety (which isn't hard considering heath is currently are starter) then this could be a solid off-season

The Cowboys could sign a dead guy and you'd be commenting on how great of a move it is and raving about his ability to be low to the ground when rushing the QB.
No not really. I’m just meh over the Austin signing.

Well at least he keeps his #95. Irving wont be using it ever again.
And he is exactly like Crawford. 3/4 End converted to 4/3 interior. And Canadian.
Apart from my *****y response earlier, I like this depending on money - and with the premise that this is only a depth move. If this is their big interior answer, my dog is gonna get it !!!

Looks like an active interior DL to backup Woods and Collins. Still wish we had a bigger guy in the rotation. But still, this is a decent addition.
