CC said everything but cheap to describe our FA strategy lol

They pointed out Cowboys vs some big names coming up for contract that will take a big toll on our cap. Cowboys are looking for guys who can come in and fill roles and yes there is some question marks on a guy like Cobb in terms of health but the contract and length of deal make it very good for Dallas and their own future plans.

He still has a point regardless.

It's a win-win situation for the Cowboys on this deal.

Cobb > Beasley

Don't need to draft a WR this draft. And we can develop WR like Noah Brown and Cedric Wilson. Top 3 of Cooper, Gallup and Cobb is hard to beat in the NFL today when it comes to a WR set. Even with Cobb's recent injury history. Name me 3 receiver sets that are better today on paper.

None.

Agreed. I dont think people are appreciating that Cobb is literally the 3rd WR and, at best, the 4th option on offense after Zeke, Cooper, and Gallup. That's a pretty incredible situation.

When your 3rd WR in a run first offense is someone of Cobb's caliber it's hard to not feel optimistic in my opinion. He could be a WR2 on a lot of teams.

Beasley is better than Cobb. Hard stop.

The only possible difference is that Cobb can do more outside, but this offense hasn't shown any competency to take advantage of that.

I wasn't big on the signing at first, but for what they're ultimately paying him, it's a good deal. And now they've totally revamped and improved their overall receiving corps from just two years ago. Dez- Terrance Williams- Beasley, all gone. And I have to feel that this trio is better than what they had then, at least from a youth and potential standpoint.

Under Linehan? No, absolutely not. That guy had no creativity. But if Moore is anything like they're claiming, or just simply not as formulaic as Linehan was, this offense should be more versatile, and harder to predict. And that's an advantage in and of itself.

Keeps us from having to develop a player. Either through draft or our own. If we drafted one then I doubt he would make the immediate impact Cobb would. Same with Brown. Cedrick will come along as the year progresses. Good deal for both sides.

The way I see it, it buys us a year of development if we do draft one. And I think they will need to, given that all of their slot options - Cobb, Austin, and Hurns - are all free agents next year.

You're talking about Garrett, not Linehan, and he's still here.

It was only last season in which Cobb was bitten by the injury bug. 16/17 he missed a total of 3 games. He is only 28, it's not a stretch that at 28 he will rebound and stay healthy. I like the signing. We can use Cobb/Austin in the slot. Plus it's a 1-year deal, I am going to assume he is going to put in the work, come to camp in great shape, hoping to have a great year and cash in...
