Same on Zeke.
Cooper you're talking sunk cost. He's good but how any SBs go to teams with fat WR contracts?
I could move from Dak. I'm for churning running QBs until we hit on a serious pocket passer.

Keep building value and sign those fat contracts to great players w/o issues at key positions. LVE and Jaylon are the guys I'd be happiest extending. Play great. Healthy. RKG. Upside. Not the most valuable positions, but good ones.
You’ve got years of return on investment with Zeke
You got half a season for a first rnd pick on cooper
You could point to many positions to say you don’t need this or that position to win a super bowl
There have been Super Bowls won by QB’s who were much worse than Dak
Super Bowls have been won by elite players at every position including WR
Jerry rice has the rings to prove it

O.K. I'll jerk yer' bobber in the water on this one Conner01,,,were verifiable permanent improvements in #4's; decisive trigger pulling time lapse/ expanded field of ocular on field viewing comprehension vastly improved upon & that whole ability to be able of putting a 40 yd air traveling spiral through the opened upstairz loft double doors of grandpa Hagen's hay barn ,,,I'd low ball 15 mil annual ,,,,upper cut-off 18.5
( while it's obvious this team deserves a Q.B. of those inherently minimalists possessed capabilities) yet, were we to some how find ourselfs lined up AGAINST DAK IN OUR DIVISION? SAY IF he bounced over to Washington?,,, I could see that CAT skinning us outta' our casing-liners two seasons straight just thru his grim determination,,,but just how much do you think he's worth yerself there CONNOR01?
There is really good tools to calculate what players will get. What they’re worth is different
If you you previous contracts, age of those contracts you get a good idea of what a player will get that has been pretty accurate
Now it’s based on numbers and teams and players can get different assumption from same numbers
That’s what the team and tank are using
So based on that
Tank 20
Dak 20

It's not even a contest....#4. And anybody else voting otherwise has an agenda. #4 has earned nothing...done nothing. And really should be holding a clipboard.

You dont do contracts for past work you do them for what you hope to get out of them. Id have to send 90 packing unless he can play QB

First off-this is a great problem to have. These players are all very good.

If I knew Lawrence could give the team four more good years my vote would be the RB. I just don’t value them much.

Personally: I’d vote off the Ewok. I don’t like Star Wars and I don’t like Zeke.

GM: I’d vote off Tank. I personally like the guy a lot and think his position is more valuable than RB but at this point...hate to see ya go buddy.

Understood. My biggest concern concerning Lawrence is his health. He's always getting injured. Is it smart to pay him $20+ mil/season if he is injury-prone?
It’s not. But what’s starting to scare me is what are we going to do with those savings? We are about to re-sign all of these guys and at least one of them will bite us in the future. I just hope we are prepared for it.

Only one player has taken the position that he may screw the team and his team mates by taking the money but sitting on the bench while recovering from surgery that he could have had months earlier.
Self evident answer.

Tank is a disappointment for sure.

I am tired of us working with malcontents and keeping our fingers crossed they behave long enough for us to benefit.

We have tried this again and again.

Gregory, Irvin, and a few others.

It does not last.

Dak, he’s just not that good. Paying him elite QB money will be one of the dumbest things Jerry has ever done.
It all depends on how much is guaranteed money and how much is incentive driven.

I have no problems with paying for results.

But let's have the results first.

That means championships..

starting with winning the NFC Championship first.

NFC Eastern Division titles are a dime a dozen.

Actually win something of achievement.

not one and done playoff streaks.

Zeke as first choice to go and then DLaw who has priced himself off the Cowboys and into some bottom dweller team.

It's almost a quarter of a century since Jerry Rice won a SB. This is what's called "the exception that proves the rule".

Dak isn't elite but neither is Lawrence. Cooper an argument can be made both ways

Dak might make elite if he improved his accuracy a little and they really used him as a runner. Rich Gannon was MVP and didn't have great accuracy.

As a pocket passer, he's below average. His good QB numbers are largely a product of teams committing to stopping Zeke and daring us to beat them with Dak's arm.

Of the 3, Cooper is closest to being elite at his position. It's hard to tell. On the one hand, teams try to stop Zeke. On the other, Dak is throwing the ball. Cooper feels like a solid top 5-10WR.

Dak averages over 66% career passing completions percentage,

.....but he has accuracy problems? lol

Have y'all checked out Troy and Roger's career passing completions % average?

Roger: 57% career passing completions percentage.

Troy: 61.5% career passing completions percentage.

But they get a pass due to multiple SB Championships, yet Dak who so far has a career 66.1% career passing completions percentage is hot garbage?

To top it off, Tony Romo had a 65.3% career passing completions percentage with not even reaching an NFC Championship Game, yet he is considered by many as the best passer in Cowboys franchise history.

Yet, Dak sucks because of his terrible accuracy?

Amari might just be the most valuable of the four listed. Why?

Because with Dak, Zeke, and DLaw all playing this team was sitting at 3-5 coming off a blowout home loss to the sorry arse Titans, a team that didnt even make the playoffs.

Without Amari, those other guys were driving this team to a 6-10 finish...……...so like I said, Amari might just be the most valuable.

Disagree the defense is the main reason Dallas made the playoffs. But copper did help.

That and Smith going down for the skins
