Is Witten a strategic decision by Jerry or a publicity stunt?

Or Witten helps Dak and the offense, because now they have to respect him and game plan for him. Even though he was not as hw was 3 years ago. He still is good enough to demand respect. Dallas just needs to figure out how to use him effective enough without being a progress stopper as well.
I think they will.
And it will open up the offense more.

Witten at 20-25 plays per game will not delay the progress of Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz. In fact, he should have the opposite effect. There's nobody else I would rather have mentoring a young tight end than Witten.

I think he's coming back in 2019 as a complementary player-slash-goal line option; and he'll use this season to act as a bridge to a possible coaching career.

Because let's face it, that TV thing wasn't too smooth.

I believe it's a little 'o both.
Or is it Jerry, again, having a bigger heart than his brain?
Our TE corps, as weak as it is (Jarhead excluded) , needs reps and game time. I see Witten just delaying their progress.
If the veracity to the reports are believed to be true, coach GARRETT & Co. was pinning away for the #82's strength of presence last year,,,& you know ol' (coach)Jason let slip earlier this off season something about it shouldn't be viewed as "odd" to be having Double duty personnel on the roster serving as both "a player& position coach" ( or something similar along those lines)

* man I bought two glass handle jugs of Jim Beam on wed.& am down to 25% operating capacity remaining on unit#2,,,

And as long as it's not the same play on down and distance so it gets sat on and intercepted. Gotta disguise it if you gonna run it again and again.

Witten is bored and he’s Jerry’s boy, win win for Johnnie Blue.. It’s also part of the story book ending that we are going to hear for a while leading up to the Big Show in February...

The way l look at it, now the opposing D will have to cover those 4 yard passes to Witten on 3rd and 6. Maybe it'll free up someone else...

Witten, in the booth, was "must watch TV" You never knew what he was gonna say or do next, he was an under-appreciated comedic genius. :D

Dallas was a parachute for Witten so he wouldn't be embarrassed by being fired from Monday Night Football. And probably a favor to the network.

Just my opinion.

Ya know? That deceitfully devious Idahoan KELLEN " calling in the kill strike" MOORE is gonna fiendishly float the ol' stud duck #82 out there on them perceived crucial 3rd& 6 opportunities only to lure the lameness of the opposition in towards & sticking tight to the calm waters of WITTEN'S A.O.,,,
while cutting loose with the bow mounted punt gun of WHAMMBO launching of long lance throws to deep strike units #19/#13 in stunningly splendid KELLENISTIC ,,,er,,, THRILLING, EDGE OF YER' SEAT gripping FANISH ELATION,,,

I'm torn about the Witten thing myself. I don't think neither of your choices apply though. I think Witten came back because he has not quite finished and he sees this could be one of the better group of guys he's with, SB like.
