It is not about money; it is about value and that is subjective. However, comments about how much anyone here spends on anything are out of line and rude. Priorities are different, lifestyles are different and there are many from every walk of life here.
Right! Priorities abound..

A couple hundred a month to me is chump change for no stress or having to stream , etc. plus how am I going to stream 5 or 6 TV’s at the same time?
No one has answered this question yet.

And how are Sports Bars and really anyone who broadcast several games at once in their establishments . Will they need to hire someone just to handle the stream and bufferrings. I can’t just see someone with all these laptops trying to keep all of these different games going at same time.

All of this testimony I’ve heard from fans on this issue is a centric issue pertaining to their own particular situation probably only watching one game on one TV at a time.

While probably not practical for an individual, I would think a sports bar would simply need a firestick or rokku for each TV along with remotes, not much different than what is currently happening. Just make sure there is enough bandwidth available.

Hopefully it's better than what DAZN offers in Canada. They're an up and coming company that already secured the rights to UEFA Champions league, LaLiga, Some rugby leagues, and NFL rights in Canada. It's a streaming service but the resolution isn't the great nor does it have enough controls other than play and stop (so hard to skip to a certain period of the game without moving the bar). Plus even though it's supposed to have Game Pass included it doesn't actually let us see all22 which is so lame.

I had Sunday ticket from the mid 90’s until 2017. It has become outrageous in price and I was over DTV’s customer service. It felt outdated and a big waste of time. The bills aware always jacked, they kept slamming you with different equipment. I ended up moving last summer, and went to transfer my service and they wanted to charge me to move, I couldn’t believe it. I had been with DTV since 2000, and that’s what I got? Charge me to move? Nah, I told them cancel, and ended up at Spectrum as my brother is an installer for them, so I get hooked up. All last year I think I had to stream 2 games, and it was perfect. I’ll continue to do that until the NFL decides to let other cable companies or streaming services off the Ticket, or modified game packages. Screw DTV/ATT idiots...

Hey...NEIGHBOR!!!! I ALSO live in NE PA. Right in the smack dab middle of The Mistake on the Lake, the DIV II Buffalo Bills and that hole in the ground they call Crapsburgh. Nothing better than having the choice of watching the Bills play @ the Jets or Poopsburgh playing Cincinnati. We live in Football Paradise!!!! :lmao:
Small world,

Directv is garbage. The second the NFL drops them they're in trouble. We need an ala carte game menu, I don't need every game every week. The Cowboy game and the redzone channel would be great. Just so happens the Cowboys are usually televised around 12 out of the 16 games so I was thinking about dropping DTV anyway.

And now...Disney just bought out 20th Centry Fox...There will be nothing worth watching in a few months. Pretty scary one company owns that much media content.

Exactly. Disney, Amazon and ATT are all the same to me. Giants that are taking over and it usually has adverse effects.

Of course not. You buy the plutonium out front of the drugstore from the guy with the cool Tennies.

Yeah, he sells me a vial of vapor and tells me its "good stuff" and all it does is clog the flux capacitor. I will apply to the U.S. Balsamic Commission, Mr. Know It All.

Why do you think the grip has lessened? Just curious your thoughts...

It's actually pretty complex and it is also somewhat political so I don't necessarily believe we can discuss it on this forum but if you go and do a little research on ISP control and political initiatives around who is controlling them, I think you will see that the idea of easing the grip Cell Phone providers hold over ISPs is going to become a political agenda item and this is going to lead to a loosening of control by those providers IMO.

I get the impression that a lot of people in this thread pay sticker price for cars.

I do know that ISPs have been attacking attempts at local broadband all over the country. I hope we see some type of action soon that leads to this loosening, because I want to get rid of cable, but in my area the triple package makes it just easier to stay with an ISP.

Good. Direct tv sucks ever since bought by att

NO KIDDING!. I called a few months back and they have out sourced the call center to india or some part of that world. The person I talked to insisted on reading from a script and would not deviate from it. They completely screwed up my billing and are unwilling to fix it. I will be canceling my service with them most likely next week. Will also get rid of my cell service with AT&T as I am sick of that also.

No question the Cowboys could have their own network package.....similar to Notre Dame
Kinda surprised the Cowboys don't have something similar to the Longhorn Network. But in this case all their games would be shown on the regular networks, but there would be a 24/7 network with news and old games, etc.

It's the only thing that keeps me with DirecTV.
Me, too.

AT&T completely ruined DirecTV. They're good with phone service, but literally nothing else.

I only keep it because of (1) Red Zone Channel, (2) wife knows the channel numbers, (3) good HD signal and picture in general, and (4) habit.

The channel switching is now slow as hell, the equipment is Mickey Mouse, DVR is still stone age, and weather issues should have been solved long ago.

If they lose Sunday Ticket, I'm gone.

I subscribe to the Sunday Ticket, but every Cowboys' regular season/play-off game was televised except for two. So basically it cost me roughly $100 a piece to watch those two un-televised regular season games.
Don’t forget you can buy single games for 45$ (Or real close to that) A piece.

So if it’s only one or two games it’s a good option.
