Maybe Garrett is uncomfortable around ignoramuses. Just a thought.

And geez, the coach pushed you to use your full potential. Damn him, that jerk.

Irving is one of those guys who sounds dumber and dumber the more he talks.

I hope I'm wrong, but I feel like Irving is going to be hurt or in serious trouble within the next year or so. Regardless of football, there are lots of red flags here.

JG isn't a racist or whatever Irving said, but he is absolutely uncomfortable around people who don't fit the mold of EXACTLY what he wants in a football player. RKG excludes a lot of personalities.

Marty B, Joseph Randle, Irving...they're easily dismissed as clowns or whatever but, the reality is that they aren't bad guys, just different. JG doesn't/didn't like any of them.

I'm not saying Garrett is uncomfortable around people of color.......but what if he is?

We are just fans and base what we think of Garrett from sideline and happy go lucky clips.

We are not constantly in any of the players and coaches personal space outside of that.

I'm sorry but I'm not on either side without knowing the facts. I dont really know Garrett like that for me to come to the conclusion that he is uncomfortable around people of color or not.

But for all we know he could be.
He’s a coach in the NFL. He has been for a decade. The NFL is 90% black players. How can he lead men for a decade that he’s uncomfortable around? How can he be brought to tears for a player he is uncomfortable around? Idiocy.

What does uncomfortable around people of color even mean? He's not calling him a racist. Even said he isn't but what point is he trying to make, what excuse for him being a complete stoner? I prefer pot to playing football but I would play if Garrett would get down on some ganja and hip hop with me.

Any coach in the NFL, regardless of his color, would be uncomfortable around any player that squandered an opportunity to smoke weed. That would not compute with one of them. And their patience would be tested to the limit.

What did he want Garrett to do, get into rap on the team bus like Mack Brown did? Vince Young cited that as one of the reason's they won the title.

What remains is to one or some of Garrett's players of color to have his back.

Jason Garrett is not a good coach: I agree.

Jason Garrett is not a good man: I say BS.

Met him outside the team hotel the night before the Browns game in '94. We stood outside in the pouring 33F rain for 3 hours as the players arrived. Not that I blame anyone for hurriedly getting inside from their car in those awful conditions, but there were exactly 2 players who came over and talked to the few brave (or foolish) fans that day: he and Dixon Edwards. Very pleasant, friendly, and gracious fellow.

Last 30 seconds told me all I need to know about Irving. I still think Garrett needs to be replaced, but I'm on his side with this one.

Full interview:

doesn't he have some weed videos to slap on instagram while people still give a damn?

Unfortunately THIS is the mentality these days from way too many people...unfortunately again there's way too much I WISH I could say but can't because of the rules here.

Victim-hood mentality is very prevalent.

On a side note...we're calling them people of color now? I can't keep up with this crap when did we stop calling them "black people"? If I say "colored people" though I am getting blasted...I really can't keep up with this crap.

This, me being black call me black. When I hear colored people, I associate that with the 50's and 60's and those terrible days.

Nobody loves some Jason Garrett negativity more then me but anything that comes out of David Irving’s mouth and the logic he uses to come to his conclusion I’m out on.
Ya, I was slow in my acceptance as I'd continually held out in the hopes for the x#95's redemption,,, but,,, it's kinda' obvious that dudes rolling with a headful of snakes up in his wheelhouse:confused:

Irving is not smart. What team is gonna take a chance on him after he pulled that stunt? Even after weed is legalized by the NFL, he's not coming back to Dallas. He needs to think about his next potential team before making remarks like that. SMH

Nothing else you have to say, related to the Dallas Cowboys, that can possibly interest me.

JG from all accounts is not like Irving portrays him, he's just butthurt because JG told him to get out and smoke all the weed he wants, good riddance I say.

I hate Irving for making me defend Garrett. lol.

Also, the people of color that play for him don’t seem to quit on him.

The last resort of the Garrett apologist

Can't get team to SB
Can't get team to NFCCG
Bad record in win and you're in games
Bad HC decisions
Bad OC to the point that the GM had to personally and publicly forcibly remove him from being OC
Multiple players have come out against this moron

But
But
But

'Players don't quit on him'
