The filled holes like they usually do. It's been a normal offseason.

I think Cobb and Quinn are more than just "filling holes". Those were excellent moves that should get us to the next level. Then, getting DLaw resigned was excellent news.
Yes. More than filling holes. These are moves to put us over the top.

Leaning more toward lateral moves. If they can stay healthy it might be an upgrade.
FO's been taking care of business once again. Free agency continues to be their kryptonite, and I'm anxious to see if they've improved on that this year. But as far as cap management, contracts/re-resignings, and cap management, no complaints from me at all.
You obviously have no clue do you.The filled holes like they usually do. It's been a normal offseason.

I would have loved to get ET but not at the price he got. Not even close.I think some are sour that we didn't spend oodles of money on Earl Thomas. I think, depending on who we draft, we will find that this was a good choice.

Well, this Fo has been making interesting and, dare I say, unusual moves for our normal off-season. Maybe we will get a 1T. Hope so anyway.
Not really, they've done this every offseason for a while now. spending on their own and getting small deals with FA's. SJ hit it on the head when he said during FA good players get paid like HOF players... so-so guys get paid like good players. Its a boring approach but its the smart one. and it does drive me insane sometimes. I think Rober Quinn move might have been a lil different.. but thats about it.. they still didnt spend a butt load on him
If anyone wants to add in other additions that I forgot, feel free to do so. This has been a massively successful off-season imo, and we're not even drafting yet!
Getting fredbeard back next season is huge...
So, we're not at the draft yet, and let's have a look at what we've gotten done this off-season.
And, again, this is all without the draft. This is what I've been asking for from the FO! This is more like it! Still would like a 1T DT and a full on safety in the draft. However, as far as I'm concerned, Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones have done their job. I think we're right now on the fringe on a Super Bowl contender roster. Now it's time for Jason Garrett to do his job. Coach them up, and let's get this assembled team to the Super Bowl. I've never seen us in the NFCC, but I think the time has now come for us to get number 6! For how this off-season has gone and how I think this season will go, as TO said, get your popcorn ready! Do your job, Garrett! Bring one back to Dallas!
- Needed a FA Safety? Got George Iioka
- Needed a DT? Got Hyder
- Lost a slot receiver in Beasley? Got Cobb who can also be used on the outside
- Need a TE? Persuade Witten to return
- Need Lee to take a paycut? Done!
- Need a DE to help with losing Gregory to suspension? Done! Get Quinn!
- Trouble with DLaw's contract? Not to worry! Problem solved today!
Walterfootball who usually doesn’t give the Cowboys any love ( I know an Eagles fan runs the site) has this off season. If memory serves me correct they gave Covington, Hyder, and Cobb signing an A. They gave the Quin trade an A or A+ while the Lawrence signing a B+. Would have given the Lawrence signing an A but I believe the reason we’re injuries and they couldn’t let one of the top 5 pass rusher go. Just FYI.Hyder is a DE
Covington is a 1Tech
All in all— some solid work was done. Quinn trade is an A+. Cobb is a savvy signing— B+. Covington and Hyder are nice depth B-.
Iloka is an average S... C-.
Witten and Lee moves are good for leadership and veteran depth.
Resigning Law is an A+.
