Lawrence’s 3-year cash earnings all rank 3rd behind Mack & Donald. His $65M guaranteed ranks 4th behind Mack, Donald, & Von Miller, but $65M fully guaranteed over a 3 year span is tops...

They really managed to hit all the right notes on this deal. I’m impressed. This and Tyron Smith’s deal are very solid work

Me, me, me, me, me, I, I, I, I, I, me, me, me, me,me, I...

That is pretty much how it is across the NFL when a player is looking for a new contract. Players will look out for their own interest and the team will do the same. I will say with the high contract comes high expectation and if the player does not live up to the deal fans will come down hard on them. DLaw deal put him up their with Mack and Donald and his play will need to be as dominate

At least all the media's including social, right? And, it appears there are more than a few inmates on this website as well.

No clue what you’re trying to say. Don’t really care either.

And, if he flops next year we will let him have it on this site along with all his minions on here.

Of all the positive traits a defensive lineman in the NFL can have, being humble and soft-spoken isn't one I place very high on the list. Tank's a good team mate and team leader, that counts more in my book.

It will not be just this site. It will be the local sport talk, it will be the papers and sports news. I don't begrudge him his deal but you bet I expect him to play to a dominate level given the amount of cap he is taking relevant to the position he plays. I'm pulling for him to go out and help this team win games and hopefully a championship

Really, dude? It worked for Reggie White but, I guess that was way before your time.

Sounds like your some kid I hurt or hit some sort of ego , get over yourself and go cry a river. It is easy for me to be fan because I am realistic but hey if it makes you feel better to think otherwise i wouldn't want to make you cry further. No one ever said its not about money, but you have selective reading, guess playing D1 didn't teach you must on the educational side. Look at ET when he got signed, he made it about the team. So now go check your bottles water boy for your "D1" school and make sure they are not tears in them since I hit a nerve.

I wouldn’t be using ET as my poster boy for someone being all about the “team”. You look foolish. He was under contract and **** all over his former team.

I don't care a lick about how much players make or what owner's decide to pay those players. My beef is with this player and his me...me
attitude. A little bit more humility would be nice by these primadonna's.

Your first post in the thread goes on a diatribe about wishing the NFL went back to the 60 and 70’s when players didn’t care about money, and your posted equates the desire for players to make more money, with them being selfish.

So either you do care about how much money players make, or you did a really poor job of expressing your point earlier in the thread.

I was succinct in expressing that Players in that era were team focused not self-focused. Just go back and look at interviews of those old
players by the media. They were more like the NE Patriot players of today who care less about self and are focused on winning SB's. Just ask
Brady why he plays football at his age... Clue...it's not about him and it's not about money.

Hey,CERN, you was civilian or military while working for/with D.A.R.P.A.? that had to be a pretty cool day gig:thumbup:

I'd pulled some Marine guard at a NWS, and out in the R.A. they had acres of rail cars loaded with ready to roll war munitions sidled off in between huge long earthen berms& only secured with a numbered tin locking tag,(that was about 2 hours of sheer boredom checking all those tags),,,but ,,,about that government waste? You got that right,as over in the R&D section of the base there were acres of what we called the navy junkyard, there were just about anything & everything stacked, parked & palletized just setting out weathering,pre-packed spring assisted parachutes for ordinance/ launch assemblies ( ya,I found out they were spring deployed assist:lmao2:) I recall one stacked pallet had rotted & swarmed half way off the stack & it was of about 1/2 gal milk jug sized round grey painted metal spam canisters, they were experimental gyroscopes for some MK. # torpedo,,,1,000's of em( and they were of intricate/machined construction)
I was a civilian at the time. but I still held top secret and nato cosmic clearances.

His 2018 was anything but mediocre. You’re bugging.

As far as the tag is concerned, obviously it’s a considerable amount of money, but with a fair amount of risk attached. Dallas wanted to sign him long term, and he opted to play on the tag and he delivered.

He just got the second best contract for a defensive player in league history. You think that was based on a 10.5 sack season and the shoulder surgery he needs? Absolutely not. He got paid based on his 2017 numbers and the assumption that he can do it again.

We are paying him like a guy whom we expect 15+ sacks a year. He's only done it once. ......and that was 2017.
