After Stephan comments about Dak needing to sign team friendly deal and Dak on record as saying there will be no discount...an impasse is coming. Rather than get into issue of is Dak good or not, what could Cowboy get in trade if long term deal can't be agreed upon.

Note:
Denver received TWO 1st & 3rd for Jay Cutler
Cincy received 1st & 2nd for Carson Palmer
Eagles received 1st & 4th round pick for Sam Bradford.

If your Stephan, what would you need back in trade?

Note: this is not to get into large debate about if Dallas should or shouldn't do this but merely an exercise in what you think his current trade value is.

He's basically saying his post is for s..t's and giggles..............I giggled. Unlike others I will play the game. I would trade him to the Lions and take Stafford. The Lions would definitely have to eat up some of Stafford's salary along with a first this year, a second this year just to get the conversation started.

First off, you cant compare stats to QBs across eras.
When Peyton and Bress came into the league, it wasnt geared as much to offense as it is now.

Second, Peyton threw for more TDs in his first three years than Dak.

Third, Ben and Russell won Super Bowls in their third season. Dak hasnt even been to a Championship game.

Fourth, its a mental illness to see Dak and think that he is anywhere near these QBs. He is regressing as a QB and some are ok with paying him $30m.

Move along troll
Another thing, all those QBs you named have had great coaches and ever some are hall of fame worthy. Dak has had Garrett and Linehan............Ben, Wilson and Brees also didn't throw at least 22 passing TDs every year their first 3 years and thats with better coaching and talent........Dak has and with less talent and a rotating roster because of injuries, suspensions, retiring and not beeing good enough so they were cut.

I've taken Dak Bash 101 and even I think that would be ridiculous and for obvious reasons including what you've said. The bold says it all. We don't have a replacement and we're not winning it all with a rookie. Dallas would be throwing away the season.

Dak Bash 101 is for pikers. There are guys here working on the Dak Bash Doctorate.

I can appreciate a Dak Basher being sensible. Thanks. Makes zero sense to trade him. Plus the QB draft class is historically weak this season. Guarantee me Trevor Lawrence and I will trade Dak in 2 years.

You want to trade our franchise QB?

Oooh! Another legendary burn!

Lmao, wow.

What's next? "I know you are but what am I?

I’ll leave further wasting of time to you. It’s obvious that you’re someone that thinks that everything they post is fact and not nothing more than your own opinion.

And then you throw a snit when anyone questions that opinion because you’re not capable of handling it.

To be fair, Dak said "pay what's deserved." We have no idea what he thinks he deserves.

Maybe his expectations are reasonable. Maybe they're insane and he wants what Rodgers got. Hard to say.

Yeah. We have no way of knowing what either side wants until after the contract gets done.

Unless things get contentious and things get “leaked”.

That is all anyone uses in arguments is stats. I honestly don't see how anyone can watch games, and do the comparisons they do with Dak.

If all everyone is going to use is stats... Then... Romo was the greatest QB to ever wear the star.

So for everyone that wants to argue stats, and hated Romo... that is how your stats get used against you.

Dak is not Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Peyton, and he never will be. I do not care how people spin stats to leverage their arguments.

Now Ben, I have never thought was great. He has a strong arm, and has always had a receiver that was super fast to run under the ball.
Games where he couldn't launch it 80 yards and have the receiver run under it, he has 4 INTs.

Whether Dak is regressing or not, I have no idea. To me, he just seems to stay the same. He doesn't actually seem to change.

You have with Dak, what you are going to have... It will be up to the supporting cast to make a Super Bowl run.

Dak is durable, tough, seems to be liked by his teammates.

He is not some prolific passer, he won't be, and he will hold the ball to long, he will get flustered by defensive schemes, and that is that.

If he takes a deal, that cripples the team, he will be crippled... it is as simple as that. He doesn't have the talent, to make up for loss of
talent. I mean it is as simple as that...

He is a bus driver, will always be a bus driver that can win games, if they scheme right, and if he keeps elite talent around him.

If he wants $30+ mil, then make sure it is a deal you can get out of. Plus he will only hurt his own value for any future contract with another team.
Because if it rests on his shoulders to make mediocre talent look good, it won't happen.

No one watching these games, can honestly say with a straight face that Dak is elite, and compare him to those elite QBs, past and present.

Dak just wins. Haters like yourself will just hate. I don’t see how you can watch him play and then make a post implying he sucks.

You can't read. I specifically stated in my previous response that I would be just fine if I was wrong.
Please save the lecture on facts. You're not qualified.

This reads like you wanting to find a conclusion you're looking for.

Here's something else "funny", Prescott has had the NFL's leading rusher for two of those years. And an improving and top defense in 2018. And that time he didn't have that running back in 2017? He and the team were terrible. Setting franchise records for the fewest points scored.

Then by your own admission, you don't pay this guy top quarterback money. Because you're "doubting you're going to see that much improvement".

Here's final take on this Stas......I would hope ( actually believe ) we all as Cowboy fans care about one thing......WINNING. Daks has done that and he's done it consistently while developing as young 3-year starters. And by many fans and some media suggestion, with a bad offensive coordinator and a head that should have been fired years ago. We may differ on how he's won but the fact remains he's won. You mention he's had the NFL top leading rusher for two years and that's true, no denying that but that's the way this team is built.

Like I said earlier, I challenge anyone to show me an NFL team NOT everything they can to help their QB improve his game. But many Cowboys fans seem to want Dak to prove he can alone and that can of expectation is simply misguided IMO. He may not be the prettiest or sexiest QB in the NFL but he's tough, smart, athletic and efficient with high football IQ that wins. At the end of the day, if that's good enough for the Jones, Staubach, Akiman and many others who are closer to the game or played it, it's certainly good enough for me. You and many others may disagree and that's fine. Just keep in mind we all want the same ultimate goal........Super Bowl.

Exactly right. Therefore it’s NOT BUILT around paying top money to the quarterback. Glad we can agree on that.

No doubt about that.

And to be honest I don’t come down on any one side of the argument. I’m not against signing Dak. I just don’t want to overpay.
