Wilson weighed 204 at the Combine at half an inch taller. Murray was 207. Of course WIlson today is bigger, but that comes with 6-7 years of age. Murray doesn't have the IQ, I agree with that.

Wilson also played in a pro style offense in college at Wisconsin.

Murray is coming from the Oklahoma offense.

And i know mayfield was fine last year. But still.

Will be curios to see how Kliffs offense adjusts to the NFL.

Murray has a chance to succeed. But I am not sure if he is as good a player as Russell Wilson.

Actually, Kyler Murray should be thanking Russell Wilson.

Russell Wilson would have been a top pick, if he wasn’t 5’10”

His height was really his only real negative coming out of college. Wilson had the production, arm strength, accuracy, intelligence, leadership, hand size, etc. He was the total package other than his size.

Russell Wilson’s success in the NFL is what allowed Murray to be the #1 pick. I honestly think there’s no way Murray goes so early if not for Wilson paving the way for him as a fellow short/mobile QB.

IQ alone makes the difference but it is so much more. On a lighter note that Giants pick was awesome. What a waste.

I like Cooper...love him sctually.

But “huh” what?

Without Cooper we were heading toward picking between , say, 8-13 range.
Plus instead of a rookie deal, we are going to pay Cooper a huge contract...but maybe the differnce is not quite 80, if thats what you mean.

Again, I’m thrilled with Cooper, but this was the price.

Since you are saying the "price" is going from sucking and picking at 8 to being a playoff team then I am picking where we are instead of where you want us to be.
I wouldnt call it a 'price' when 1 scenario has us sucking and hoping the player drafted can play at this level. Your downside of having to pay a guy is actually an upside. If we didnt have to pay him big money then I would be more upset with the trade.
