Zeke or Dak, what if we can only keep one

if I have to choose between Dak and Zeke in 2019. I choose zeke. its April and I would have gone after some other QBs that were in the market earlier, with the mindset that we have to solve the long term problem...

now, you might say we are in the middle of a superbowl run and a playoff team...why would we not go with Dak? simple, Dak's record without Zeke is dismal. Dak's record when Zeke doesn't perform is Dismal. choosing Zeke and adding a one year FA QB would give us the same opportunity/chance for wins. going without Zeke and just Dak for 2019 given there is nobody close to zeke available in the market, would put us at 8-8 or below for the year.

Easy decision. You keep the best RB in football. You get rid of the below average QB. The money you save you bring in even more talent on the DL. Football is won and loss in the trenches.

It sounds dumb to you because you don’t understand football. You claimed our defense played well against the Rams in the playoffs.

did you know the offense had the ball for 10 minutes in the first half.... that's a Dak led offense. Rams keyed on Zeke. took him out of the game and forced Dak to beat us. Rams had the ball 20 minutes in the first half. by end of 3rd quarter...we had the ball for 19 minutes out of possible 45 minutes...that defense was gassed. the offense sucked. scored 14 points through the end of 3rd quarter.....they had two possession of less than 1 minute..... so defense playing a stretch....and get off the field for 1 minute and then back on!!! way to help out offense. that's pretty crappy offensive performance.....the defense played against the 2nd rank offense in the league. first 2 possessions held them to field goals...we had trouble stopping the run, yes, but you know what....that defense saved Dak's arse multiple times during Saints game...... offense needed to step up and play and score some points...they couldn't!!!

coaches...yes.... QBs, perhaps, but lots of other measures go into a QB play..... do you consider Dilfer as a great QB. he won a superbowl......!!!

I'd keep Dak. Yes, Dak does not have the ideal NFL arm...but he has that ability to lead. Running Backs are easier to come by...

Zeke's play helps Dak.....a lot..... A LOT.....

Anyone who thinks the defense played well against the Rams is blind. LOL We had two backs shred us for over 100 yards and one of them is average and the other was injured. I’m a Dak realist. We all know he’s a work in progress and the jury is still out with him but he’s improving and the team around him is improving. The QBs that were available earlier in the offseason were all kicked to the curb because they can’t win consistently. They’ve all been relegated to backups except for Fitzpatrick who will likely lead the Dolphins to a top 10 pick next year. Now get back to class!

Simple DAK.

QBs last longer, and normally play out their contracts at a decent level of compete. RB's are a dime a dozen, another Zeke can be found. Heck we got Demarco Murray in the 4th round. But with all of that being said, I hope this never happens and we keep both. That is my preference.

Yes I did and forgot that Moore went down early camp. I still believe that Dak would have won the backup job over Moore based on his preseason performance.
