Didn't see that one coming. Maybe we're planning on being the 1st team with 2 6th rounders as starting safeties.

Maybe gonna kick Martin out to RT once Collins leaves.
Williams stays at guard, and McGovern plays guard as well.

Yeah, I just don't know how to parse this McGovern pick. Are they pessimistic about Frederick's recovery from his illness? Are they going to move Conner Williams to RT? Are they going to trade La'El? Do they not have any faith in Williams?

I'm watching film of him right now and 5 minutes in, he looks like your standard power guard. I can see how he is worth a mid round pick, but damn, I thought our OL was set at all five spots for at least the next two seasons.

They simply don’t value the position. 4h round safety. Maybe later. Staying with the trenches.

Then why all those visits with safeties that had 2nd and 3rd round grades?

And note I don’t think McGovern isn’t a good player. He is. But I just don’t get the logic behind the pick unless they have something up their sleeve.

I 'd personally preferred a safety or CB but I'm a little perplexed by this selection, Tackle I can see but another guard....Collins is either getting moved and kick Williams outside or Looney is going to be moved and Conner is the center/guard ....

This guy is the next joe looney. Maybe we trade looney to a team needing a guard or center.

I'm breaking my arm tonight patting myself on the back... I was suspicious all along that there was an O-line pick on the agenda. But admittedly, when you don't see ANY O-line 30-visits, I felt pretty far out on the limb.

Williams will be swing tackle this year with plans to move him up to starting and getting rid of Collins if he can play, with McGovern being guard.

They came out and blamed 14-15 out of 56 on dak. The most expensive o line in the league cant give up 41-42 sacks

Totally agree and I'm sure the loss of Frederick played a huge part in that. I'm not thrilled with the pick because there are other needs that need to be addressed more than the oline. But, it sounds like he was probably the best player on their board.
