Agreed the line sucked. We have the most money invested in the o line in the entire NFL. We need to allocate resources elsewhere and figure it out on the o line
We do -- can't argue with that. Were you hoping for a safety?

Hitchens was an inside lb and special teamer. He was ok. Draft guys that at least can compete for spots rounds 1-3
Hitchens played all 3 linebacker spots in his rookie year and did a decent job doing it. But with how bad Williams was last year are you going to try telling me McGovern can't compete for a spot?

A lot of those sacks was due to the QB holding on to the ball for a much longer time than he should.

Then why only 28 sacks in 2016 and 32 in 2017?

Dak was the qb then too?

Your dumb theory holds no water.

It just doesn’t make much sense.

We are drafting a backup like we have a loaded roster.

They also used up more than 20% of their visits in Safeties and just let them all go off the board when they could have grabbed one.
It makes perfect sense. What do you think, you're gonna score starters with your first 3 picks? This is a guy who has a chance to become a starter once Lael leaves next year.

Whatever Collins signs for, is too much.

He’s not a very good RT.
Collins doesn't have the footwork to play tackle in this league imo, all you have to do is watch him for a game to see that....he's a guard in the NFL, another example of the cowboy organization trying a round peg in a square hole

That's bad if McGovern is gonna give connor a run at LG. Hitchens was meh Lee blew his knee that year of course he had to play games

Yes we need to upgrade at the safety position. Our pass defense has been average at best and we are consistently bottom of the league every year in ints. Rather than take depth guys.

Says who?

Martin is so good he’ll be an all pro anywhere
yeah I laugh when I hear people say he's so good he can play anywhere along the offensive line, sorry but offensive linemen are NOT interchangable at this level, and when you have one that is the best at his position in the league, you don't move him, that's ridiculous talk that this organization does far too much...

Lol....Garrett just mentioned possibly moving Martin to tackle at some point. Use your imagination once in a while if you have one.

Tackle is more important than guard and guards are easier to find and cheaper. We now also have 2 young guards drafted the last two years. Simple deductive reasoning.

Collins is gone after this year.

That's what cracks me about some of these replies. "Great value" Is this guy even going to get on the field next year?

Nope. We have issues if this guy sees the field. If he beats out Connor, then that is an indictment on last year's pick. Hill will probably only play 60% or so of the snaps, too.

He can play anywhere and don't be so obtuse.

False. No one can play every single OL position at the NFL level. It's also an indictment on a player when you tell me they are versatile and can play so many positions. This isn't low level high school football where players play all types of positions. Give me a guy who plays one position very well, not a guy who is below average at several.
