Getting some good grades here, too...except you gotta wade thru a ton of “sky is falling” and “rue the day” posts to find them.

Haha. You apply your rules to my grade and then yell at me for not satisfying them. I’ve met opposing counsel that make similar arguments. They don’t do well in court.

Innocent until proven guilty? Every move is great until proven otherwise? Sound about right?

Give it a rest. Attorneys don't go to court. They settle.

This board is infected with whiners. They live for coming here every day and *****ing about something. The draft is like red meat to them. They are going to complain about just anyone the Cowboys drafted. It started immediately after the 1st pick. They will continue to whine until the player shuts them up. Then they will silently slither back under there rock until the next opportunity comes by, I.e. the next move by the FO. It’s as predictable as the sunset.

I typically don't complain about draft picks, but my problem with the Hill pick is the risk involved with him. If he hits, the Cowboys have an all-pro, and that is exciting. However, I don't care what kind of magic Rod Marinelli thinks he has, if there really are issues with Hill's maturity and work ethic there's trouble.

But I am rooting for Hill from now on because he's a Cowboy. I want nothing more than to eat my words.

Good news but man they gave A grades to most of the teams I looked at. Skins and Giants got a B. There were a few C’s but they were pretty good to most teams
I think the skins had the best draft of all of us, ours wasn't bad for where we were picking.. I give it a B for now see how the players pan out..

And all you do is come here every single day and complain about everyone who is complaining about things they don’t like.

No one likes a fat sloppy woman but that fat sloppy woman has a good heart and will treat you like the person you should be treated

That’s what this draft is like......it wasn’t sexy at all but it’s what we needed at the moment

Why do people have a issue with a grade? It's really no different than discussing the draft and your opinion on each pick. It's just a summary.

I hate the draft, this player sucks, that players sucks and *****ing and moaning about it is the same as a F. I love the pick and that pick and the cowboys nailed that pick and the draft, is the same as a A.

I think everyone giving it a A or a F know it's not until 2-3 years down the road we'll really know how good or bad it was. It's just an immediate opinion and outlook on how each individual feels it will turn out. Are there homers who give it a A or B? Sure, but there are also negative Nancy's who won't give it anything above a C.

No need to complain until after we see them play for a couple years. For example Taco looks like a bust so far but you can’t complain, and should do the opposite, about the likes of Martin, Fred, Zeke, Smith, LVE, Jones, etc.

I hope to be proven wrong about the Trysten Hill pick. I feel better about him than I did before reading the full story about his fall from grace at UCF.

Cowboys have been good about doing research on players. We get a lot of guys with limited performance in their final years for excusable reasons.

The Hill pick seems a little iffy to me too, but that's with a cursory look at him. It's the position and type of player I expected them to target. That or S.

Posted this in another thread earlier today(this obviously doesn’t include our late picks not Priority FA.. And yes, it includes Amari Cooper)

For those losing their minds right now, perception can be a killer and a little perspective may help.(maybe not)

Draft pundits and scouts consider a great draft is finding 3 starters. With this in mind so far, Dallas seems to have found three if you consider our 1st Rd pick is Amari Cooper. The fact that Dallas is picking in the back of every round and didn’t make their first pick til 58th, I feel comfortable with the guys they’ve picked so far contributing to a team that already is very talented.

1- [Amari Cooper]
2- 3T Tristen Hill (will be a starting by next year and possibly this year over Collins, but definitely will rotate in an play a lot of snaps. Before this draft, folks were begging for DL..here ya go)
3- G Conner McGovern (solidifies a shaky OL from last year and most expect to be a starter by next year.)
4- RB Tony Pollard (definitely a pass catching back up RB that was severely needed)
5- CB Michael Jackson (Richard project that projects well. Richard has proven to be able to mold players like this. Time will tell for a 5th Rd pick)
6- DE Joe Jackson (Marinelli special.. who knows what he’ll turn into, but has a lot of traits and was very productive in college. What more do you want from a 6th Rd pick?)

My point, it’s definitely not the worst. Just not what couch GMs were wanting including myself. But I’m not going to act like I know more than the Pro Scouts that have proven in recent drafts they are pretty good at what they do. Give it time.
