Exactly what showed you that metcalf was a bonafide Star?

Was it his 67 career receptions?
He was media made hype.
There’s a reason every team passed on him at least once.

He’s super buff, duh

This draft was terrible, passed metcalf, thorn and some bona-fide future stars for a bunch of second teams scrubs..

this was not a good draft
Over react much? Why don't you wait until they actually play to evaluate? That would make more sense, wouldn't it?

Do Not agree man.

They drafted two potential starters in the 2nd/3rd and who knows how the other guys will play.

Maliek and LCollins are going to be UFA after 2019.

We all know. Some just don’t want to admit it. Not having a 1st changed their philosophy and it didn’t work. They just don’t seem capable of making the obvious common sense decisions. They continually pass on easy choices that fall into their laps and overthink things.
And then the pros like McClay, scouting dept, and the coaches close the door to the whiney little fans and go to work after months of prep. And the whiney fans get butt hurt because the Cowboys FO didn’t go with the guy they’ve read up on a couple times, or fell in love with because FS1, ESPN, CBS Sports told you to do so, or you’re an idiot. Lol

The only thing worse than some website giving a team's draft class an A+ or F- twenty-four hours later is someone making a take like this. Face it, they didn't do what you wanted so you think the draft class is crap. I'd be the first one to say I was disappointed that they didn't draft one of the top safeties, but that doesn't mean I think this class is terrible. Certainly not after just one day.

It seems like they took the best players on their board early, and then later on nabbed players with intriguing attributes. I can't really ask much more than that. As far as I read, the only real reach was Pollard in the 4th rounder, and rumor was some DB they really liked was taken just prior. I'm not complaining, though, cause Pollard looks like he potentially can be a fun weapon.

It's pretty clear at this point Dallas doesn't think safety is a high priority, which I completely disagree with. The NFL might just be fantasy football now and DBs are completely restricted when it comes to defending the pass, but a great safety is still very valuable. But hey, that staff made it to the Divisional Round last year, and I was sitting on my couch watching them. Maybe they know something I don't!

I'm just happy they have done tons to improve their D-Line. Say what you will about safety, but they lost to the Rams cause they got the ball rammed down their throats. And they got a kid who some thought was talented enough to be a 1st Rounder, especially if there wasn't those coaching woes. I think that is a big win.

Oh and if you think Dallas is the only team that misses out on targets every single draft, then I have 31 other coaching staffs that would like to have a discussion with you. At least Dallas didn't reach for a franchise QB at Pick 6!

We’ll see if you’re right. I’ll make note of this thread and save the link.

The most alarming thing about the draft is knowing Jerry still puts stock in what Marinelli thinks.

The Cowboys usually draft pretty well so the worst in 11 years may not actually be an insult.

Its not like they took a QB 6th overall that they could have got with the 17th pick or even later

Remains to be seen, but you also have to consider what we used our first round pick for.

Dallas could draft each of the top 10 over all and Garrett still wouldn't be able to mold them into a championship team.
Dallas could draft each of the top 10 overall and most here wouldn't be happy, just shows how we perceive the hype differently on these players that have yet to do anything in the NFL
