The only thing worse than some website giving a team's draft class an A+ or F- twenty-four hours later is someone making a take like this. Face it, they didn't do what you wanted so you think the draft class is crap. I'd be the first one to say I was disappointed that they didn't draft one of the top safeties, but that doesn't mean I think this class is terrible. Certainly not after just one day.
It seems like they took the best players on their board early, and then later on nabbed players with intriguing attributes. I can't really ask much more than that. As far as I read, the only real reach was Pollard in the 4th rounder, and rumor was some DB they really liked was taken just prior. I'm not complaining, though, cause Pollard looks like he potentially can be a fun weapon.
It's pretty clear at this point Dallas doesn't think safety is a high priority, which I completely disagree with. The NFL might just be fantasy football now and DBs are completely restricted when it comes to defending the pass, but a great safety is still very valuable. But hey, that staff made it to the Divisional Round last year, and I was sitting on my couch watching them. Maybe they know something I don't!
I'm just happy they have done tons to improve their D-Line. Say what you will about safety, but they lost to the Rams cause they got the ball rammed down their throats. And they got a kid who some thought was talented enough to be a 1st Rounder, especially if there wasn't those coaching woes. I think that is a big win.
Oh and if you think Dallas is the only team that misses out on targets every single draft, then I have 31 other coaching staffs that would like to have a discussion with you. At least Dallas didn't reach for a franchise QB at Pick 6!
