Then I will pet the dog. Petting the dog always calms me down.

There is no proof to say that dez can't play anymore.saints signed him last season and they were one pi flag away from the sb.let's see how trainingcamp work out for him.i think he knows his place right now and be quiet
he couldn't keep up in practice. he did nothing to get the saints one pi flag from going to the super bowl. he looked lost. out of shape. probably contributed to his injury.

Are you really trying to say "out of shape" is the reason for an Achilles tear? I'm sure he did need to get into football shape, anyone out of football for a bit needs to get back into football shape - it's just how it goes. But it's not like Dez had a beer and McD's belly.

His injury was simply bad luck.

Who is them? I never said he was the reason the team didn't have success. He was a member of the team at that time and they didn't have success. They all have a level of culpability. Even Dez.
So what does that matter? One player especially a receiver isn’t the reason why we didn’t have success so why even bring that up? Romo was here too as was Ware. Is it their fault we didn’t win more?

Before we let the emotional arguments get out of hand about Dez Bryant we shoiuld make sure we focus on the facts.

1. His age.
2. His declining performance. If he was so great why wasn't he just willing his way to success, and hands down beating the defenders with every chance he got?
3. Last his recent Achilles Heel injury. Let's not play that down because it is the elephant in the room when considering Dez ability to contribute.

We have heard posters state his ability to high point. We have heard posters talking about his ability to own the back shoulder fade.

Well both those abilities require physical performance. First in jumping ability and second ability to control your body in the air and take the ball form the defender.

https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2018/1...njury-golden-state-warriors-this-is-the-worst

I posted the above article because it references recent achilles heels injuries to NBA players where jumping is critical to their success in their sport. The results are not good.

Summary: 30% never return to the sport. Folks, that is basically saying good bye to 1/3 of the room.

60% are never the same players.

A quote from Elton Brand who was 28 at the time of his injury. "I didn’t have the same explosiveness that I had. I regained and then I relost it. I didn’t have it. I had to change my game a little bit where I jumped off two feet and I was a little bit slower." From 20-27 he was a solid 20 pt per game contributor. After the injury he was good for 13 points/game. He has been the one I could find the most quotable information on.

The only guy in this article who bucked the trend was Dominique Wilkins. The article does state that a trend of negative returns is noticeable from 30 and beyond.

There is nothing about the recent events of Dez Bryant that screams the Cwobys should take a risk on him.

He is an immature, somewhat malcontent 30 year old WR who has experienced an injury that typically robs athletes of the explosiveness in foot speed and jumping ability. How is this positive situation for signing Dez Bryant and taking a position from a younger player?

He couldn't keep up? He got injured on his first Day of practice.

There were newsreels of him practicing with the saints. During ups and downs, he was up when the rest of the team was down. And down when the rest of the team was up. Fatigue can contribute to injuries. Matters not. Stephen 86'ed him and no way he's coming back here.

You're talking out of your butt. Stop stinking up the place.

"Achilles tear because he was tired". My god. Where did some of you come from? I highly doubt this place has always been this silly.

unless your the one that actually makes those decisions, you dont know what the hell will or will not happen.
Common sense suggests he's not wanted. The one making the decision (stephen) couldn't wait to get rid of him.
