As crazy as it sounds, Jeffery Lurie may not be my favorite owner in the nfl. Every time Jerry opens his mouth it makes me really, really happy.

HE WAS SOLD ON BRANDON WEEDEN TOO. "Mr. he throws a pretty ball." All that said, I'm excited about what Dak can do with more free reign given to him. Time will tell, but Ii think he will answer the bell once again. All he does is work his arse off , lead men, and win. Not pretty at times...but who cares.
I will take an ugly victory any day of the week

Well, they believed in Dak well enough to promote him to Romo's backup during training camp 2016. Moved Dak ahead of the career long proven backup, Kellen Moore, who is now our O-Coordinator.

Moore was hurt and why Dak passed him

dak's agents will set the tone for his new contract. they will mention the salaries of cousins, garappolo, matthew Stafford and derek carr and the fact none of the aforementioned has ever won a playoff game. dak has won playoff games. they will mention that he's taken the cowboys to the playoffs 2 out of 3 years. they will present a strong case for a salary close to 30 million a year. the cowboys will acknowledge all these facts but stress the importance of needing money to sign other important players. zack's new deal was based on what the top guards make. tank's deal was based on what the top dl's make. dak's new deal will be based on what the top qb's make. that's just the way it works.

I’ve yet to speak with another fan who’d rather have Jerry as their owner which would include their GM.

Oh yeah that’s definitely not what I meant.

But maybe the Bengals would. At least Jerry is trying to win, however successful his plans may be at it.

everything in the universe, in one form or another is energy. it's a shame so much energy is wasted on pointless arguments about assumptions and presumptions which cannot be proven except through hindsight. cerebral entropy.

You see, you say that, but I counter with "It gives me energy!".
So... I have to waste it!

It's sad to think that me slumping in my Lazy-Boy, drinking beer, eating Cheetos and watching re-runs of Andy Griffith qualifies as energy.

Yea, Daks deal will be probably something similar to what Jumbo described here last week. About 28 million if I recall correctly .

And if you’re All In then it’s smart to sign him now. And I hope it’s a 3 year deal as Jumbo suggested.

I hope it’s more team friendly as Stephen has suggested. And it wouldn’t break my heart if Dak turned it down. But he won’t.

And if he improved his game leading us to a championship then he can renegotiate. But if we anty up now limiting the ability to continue surrounding him then winning a championship will be tougher IMO.
