I'm not talking about Prescott either. We went from a very good receiver in Dez Bryant to an even better, yes I said better, in Amari Cooper. Just wanted to post a thread about how much I appreciate Jones and Company for getting Cooper and how nice it is to see a great route runner perform. I loved Dez but I like Amari even better. He just seems more polished, for lack of a better word.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on this because the board seems to be so involved in Dak getting his money and the draft and all that it forgot about how lucky we are to have #19......Oh, I didn't compare 19 vs 88 statistically....don't need to. I'd take Cooper over prime Dez.........

Cooper is everything that Dez wasn't. I love the guy. Nice guy, polite, incredible speed, polished professional route runner. He is exactly what you want at the position. I will say he isn't much of a jump ball type redzone guy. But you don't need to be when your 5 yards open every time.

He's very, very good. We are lucky to have the guy......

This is silly. You can like Cooper, but it's odd to choose him over a prime Dez - "Prime Dez" never led the league in drops twice at a near historic rate. I think I'll wait for him to have a full season without inconsistency before I celebrate the trade, which I still find to be desperate.

And Cooper had a 200 yards, 3 TD, and a 180 yard and 2 TD game - but he also had 4 games where he had under 40 years receiving and averaged around 9 yards a catch.

Cooper is probably the quickest I've seen a player get anointed around here in a long time.

All that matters is what Cooper did for us lately which was significant. Just as what dez did for us lately was insignificant. Nothing else matters.

....and what he did for us lately was exactly what he did with the Raiders. A big game here and there with a lot of ghost acts. This shouldn't even be controversial to say, just hold off on making him out to be the next Jerry Rice.

Perhaps you watched different games than I did. And lest we forget, he was also hamstrung by linehan's playcalling.

It was an All or Nothing trade.

Anything less than turning the season around to make the playoffs would have been a complete failure.

And he saved Daks career. Another missed playoffs the way it was going would have brought much uncertainty.
