I certainly liked the 11-2 stretch he had setting Egirls up with home field advantage. That was at a MVP level. Hard to say how he’d do in the playoffs ?

But Foles hasn’t demonstrated he can maintain his SB MVP level for an entire season.

Ultimately I think most would take a healthy Wentz.

Yes his 2nd year he looked good, his rookie year not so much and last year was not impressed. I do think he has very good talent but again what I saw on that Philly teams is a group that really seemed to rally around Foles in 2017 and 2018. I think it will be interesting to see what happens and I think the pressure will be on Wentz, if he gets off to a slow start Philly fans will eat him alive

Wouldn’t we want to look outside the Cowboys and Egirls fan base for a more unbiased evaluation?

Not everyone has the ability to critique their own kids.

Maybe but Cowboys players in general, often get way more shade thrown at them than most other teams' players because there is generally a dislike of the Cowboys.

Philthy fans eat everyone alive. Most violent fans in the country.

IMO the best of what we’ve seen with Wentz is on a different level from Prescott as far as passing ability.

That said , Wentz must remain healthy. Dak has many other assets going for him like durability and game savvy.

Obviously we can have some success within Daks skill sets but I can’t help but wonder what this offense could be with a more prolific passer.

So , who do you look too for a more unbiased evaluation ?

They’re in two different offenses.
Dak and wentz have thrown the ball damn near the same number of times. It’s very easy to evaluate them as passers.

Wentz would need to complete 52 of his next 27 passes for 724 yards to match daks yardage and completions. Almost like one is just asked to throw more.

They also run 2 different types of offense. I take nothing away from Wentz, I do have some reservations of his ability as a team leader and evidently based on some reports I'm not the only one who feels there is something missing with Wentz. As for Dak he is not a pure pocket passer but he seems to make key plays at key moments even when his afternoon is not going great. I also think Dak has the desire to work and improve his game and I think he will continue to make strides to improve as a QB

That’s a comparison of their stats . My thoughts are more about their passing talent and potential.

It’s like comparing Daks wins to Brady’s . It’s not a comparison of their passing ability.

No doubt Dak has some intangible assets. Imagine if we could couple that with the prolific passing abilities of a Wentz.

I think there is still much for Dak to learn and improve on but I do believe he will. All I can say is I like Dak as our QB and I believe he can lead this team to a championship.

I AM A DAK HOMER. Full transparency there. The football guy in me tells me that Dak is better than Wentz rallying the troops in the last minute of a game and leading them to a win. Haven't see much of that from Wentz just yet.

time will tell. Up to now, its been Dak. Potential tends to be one of those words that gets teams drafting in the top 10 every year and coaches fired.
Yep . Time will tell.

Potential is a loaded word but raw talent levels are not on the same level. But that’s why we play the games and lower round picks can rise to the top and higher round talents bust.

I’ve never disputed hat. I just think it would be easier with a more talented prolific passer.

I tend not to get to attached to players unless they’ve won championships or HOF talent.

and I think his passing skills will improve. I'm not one who thinks this is as good as he will ever be. I'm looking forward to seeing Dak working with Kitna and of course Moore this coming season

I tend to agree.

I was very bullish on Wentz his first two years, especially after what likely could have been a MVP year in 2017. But getting hurt, again, in his 3rd year was like sucking the oxygen out of the room full of fire. You can no longer ignore his injury issues. They are real. Now maybe he stays healthy this year and has a phenomenal year. But at this point, he has to prove that.

Dak has a ceiling, which is lower than Wentz................ if Wentz can/could stay healthy. But for now, he hasn't, so his ceiling is kind of meaningless at this point, at least until he can string together a healthy and good year.
"IF" Wentz was healthy, I really have no doubt he would be a better passing QB. But the very reason I lean toward Prescott is durability. Yeah, he's not a elite thrower and maybe never will be, but I for one was very tired of cringing every time our QB got blasted ultimately left on the sideline hurting the team.
