Pretty much the same reasoning for most fans......
Pretty much the same reasoning for most fans......
Without looking I bet none of those 5 reasons have anything to do with how good of a QB he is.
LOL....looking, I'll take that bet. The 5 reasons have everything to do with how good of QB he is for the Cowboys, NOT 31 other teams, but the Cowboys.
What’d you bet? Because you lost.Without looking I bet none of those 5 reasons have anything to do with how good of a QB he is.

The only one that matters:
You have no alternative on a team built to win now.
Bingo, we have a winner. As of this moment he is our best chance of winning right now. The other option is to let him play this year and drop him. Then trade a ton of draft capital and maybe more to trade up into the top 5 for a rookie. We all know that isn't going to happen.
Market value is the one I didn't like. You only get market value if there is a market. No one is paying for something they already have or don't need. And right now I think only the Bengals are in the market for a starting QB.
Best case scenario. They sign Dak and he's proves to be worth it and Dallas wins or reaches the SB.
Worse case. Dallas signs Dak to a 5-6 year contract and the Cowboys go 9-7 or show little to no improvement this upcoming season.
Could you point me to the reason that had something to do with his high skill as a player?
I just see a bunch of other reasons that have nothing to do with his ability. Maybe I missed it.

You did.......it's called the big picture. Think about it, if Jerry and/or Stephen didn't think of Dak as a franchise QB, none of the 5 reasonings would matter coz he would've been cut already or his replacement would be on the team as high round pick.

If anyone here can show ma a feasible alternative to Prescott as the QB, and letting him play out his contract is not an option as the cat was thrown out of the bag on that.
I want to see it. The complaining about the guy comes with no other options. Want to draft one? Good luck because they'll be letting players walk by the time the QB is arriving. And none of these guys come with a guarantee.
It's fine to complain about him as he's not near perfect but the continuing threads and posts about this are about the same as Booger needs to step down as GM.
Ya know, if this is your team, you've got to accept some things that will not be changed and focus more on the aspects of the team you do like, unless you just like to ***** as therapy. Look for warts and they're easy to find. Just focus on the bad plays and overlook the good ones.
Dak Prescott is going to get paid and he is going to be the franchise QB for at least the next 3-4 years so you can divide the guarantee by 3 or 4 and there's the hook. Which is pretty much in line with the window of opportunity. But this is not about him, it's about the team. They will go only as far as the team can take them. And if you think that was different with Staubach or Aikman, it was not.
But can't the same thing be said of most of the other QB's? It's a must have position that has a must pay price tag with it that has jumped 50% in just a couple of years. That's some real pretzel twisting here.
Catch is right. There is pretty much nothing in that article that says Dak should be signed to $30MM because he's a great QB. It's all reasons that have nothing to do with Dak himself.
