I don't want to hear from any Cowboys fan that Goodell and the league office don't have an agenda against the Cowboys compared to other teams.
Well, AC, you're going to hear it because I do not buy that. It is not as if the Cowboys players aren't giving them reason to investigate these situations and let's not forget this is a player that while under investigation pulled that stunt at the St. Patty's Day parade and the league office admitted that had some effect.
Once in trouble, and it doesn't matter whether anyone believes he hit that girl or not, a player has to not give them any reason to be forced into action. This is the most visible team in the NFL, the ratings magnet which is why I don't buy the persecution complex, and this is the most highlighted "bad boy" along with Gregory. And is Gregory not inviting his problems with failing to meet the rules of reinstatement?
The league has no choice but to "look into it" because it went public, just like Crawford's stunt did. And because Elliott has already served time, he has presented them with more evidence he's a moron. This guy is a problem going back to college and they're very aware that his father quit his job and moved to Columbus to try and get him under control.
Every one of these players is aware of the NFL's number one concern, image. Anything that tarnishes that will be dealt with and most likely harsher than usual on any team thought to have too many of these types of players on board. And no owner in the NFL is more aware that image = money than Booger.
