My opinion is if there are no legal charges then lets get back to talking football. I'm tired of the "league investigations" basically interpreting things how they see fit without being consistent. It's gotten way too soft.

Me too, but you KNOW they’re gonna talk and talk about it ENDLESSLY. It’s like loooonnnggg investigations, followed by investigations into how it was investigated. Just like politics!

But seriously, why punish the team? Punish the moron who did it! Otherwise, it looks like bias—an agenda against the Cowboys.

If you think that was a shove or he got pushed into a "barrier" that blew over with a breeze I'd consider that pretty soft. Just my opinion, but security experts I'm familiar with would have resisted such a minor brush of the elbow. Furthermore, the other personnel would have jumped to his side at the point of contact. But maybe that's just how we do things up North.

DUDE, my god, look at the freakin' video. It shouldn't need to be explained to you, it's clear as day. Zeke approached the guard, starts asking if the guard has something to say, the guard is backing up, hits the barrier, and Zeke extends his elbow pushing the guard down. Look at the 0:04 second mark, do you see the elbow there, chief? That's a push, again the PUSH ALONE did not cause the fall, it's the push and hitting the barrier that caused it.

I don't know if you need glasses or if you just never watched the video but still believe you need input because you're still upset I've destroyed your petty little arguments in the past, but enough is enough. LOL

I already said I thought he got screwed the first time but my point was that if they were really going after him as much as some say they could have easily gone after him for the other two incidents. Like it or not, fair or not, he was suspended 6 games and knew he had a short leash yet he continues to go out and make a fool lf himself in public like he doesn’t even care. That’s asking for trouble, stop acting like Zeke is some innocent victim.

And you’re also minimizing his other incidents, they weren’t exactly “nothing” for a high profile NFL athlete who is bound by a certain set of standards that most other 20 year olds aren’t. Just because of his age doesn't give him a license to act like a drunken frat boy in Animal House.
Stop putting qualifiers. He is a person and anything else is made up nonsense.

They were nothing. It doesn't matter if he's Joe Montana or Joe Schmoe. People holding athletes to different standards is dumb.

Nothing to you is not the same as nothing to the NFL. Nor would it be the same to other businesses/employers who want to present a particular public image. A player has to understand the expectations of the league, just as all of us have to understand the expectations of our employers. So, you and I can call it nothing, but if it affects Zeke, and affects the team he plays for, that definitely amounts to something.
Some people will never understand this and will continue to support these clowns no matter what they do as long as they have a Star on their helmet.

Yikes, let's not go THAT far. As a punishment for violations, fining them so severely may make them think twice about opportunities? I dunno.

You don't think the NFLPA would go along with it?

This logic makes no sense unless you know for a fact the only reason someone is supporting someone is because they have a star on their helmet. I’d like to know how you know that or maybe they just don’t think it’s a big deal in general.

The standard Zeke is being held to by Cowboy fans is the standard of being eligible to play football for the Dallas Cowboys. If he does things to jeopardize that, fans will react.

So, slavery. That should go over well.

Slavery?!? No, punishment for “conduct unbecoming” to league, against the ******* who committed the infraction. You know, the guy responsible.

Taking him off the field weakens the Cowboys’ offense, looking like an agenda.

So what if YOU think they’re dumb? You’re not the one who signed a contract agreeing to a certain set of standards and codes of conduct. What don’t you understand about this? It’s not me making the qualifiers, it’s the league and that’s their right.

My employer has a certain set of standards and a very large “book” detailing codes of conduct. Whether you, I or Joe Schmoe think they’re stupid doesn’t matter. I have to abide by them if I don’t want to face disciplinary action and remain employed.

Why is this so hard for you to grasp?

Zeke gave the guy a slight forearm "shove". Did that cause the fall, not by itself...he also tripped over the no to sturdy barrier.

Zeke shouldn't put himself in that situation, especially knowing how the league has it out for him.

My guess is a 1 game "slap on the wrist" although for anyone else, this is a non issue.

Forced labor without compensation … I think you might find that's not legal. Perhaps abolished along with … well … slavery.

Destroyed arguments? Yeah, I'd say it's awful pathetic to even suggest a thing, let alone keep track of. Or that you think anything you posted made me upset, lmao. What a child.
I dunno if someone still takes your lunch money, but I've seen better flops in the NBA.

Inconsistent...yes. Dallas being some sort of conspiracy victim...no. I agree Zeke got screwed the first time but that doesn’t change his lack of concern and poor decisions while being investigated. There are plenty of other teams/players that can make a case the NFL targets them too. Please don’t act like we’re the only ones.

I think the conspiracy was that they were trying to make an example out of Zeke and yes he was a victim of that conspiracy.

The only thing dumb is Zeke's behavior. I don't know what planet you live on but celebrity athletes are held to a different standard. You don't have to agree with it, but that's the reality of it. Zeke has only himself to blame.

But cern, he's the poster boy for this and never disciplines his own. The only thing he's done is get two players a keeper.

We are talking about a GM that refused to let his HC increase fines because players were showing up late for meetings and the HC gets his place called Camp Cupcake?

The greatest fault Booger has as a GM is the lack of understanding of the need for discipline on a team. It has been the one common thread that has run through this organization except when he had men that understand the importance of that in charge.

You've got a bunch of spoiled athletes that people have looked the other way for, creating sports management and PE as a major and only the truly self-disciplined, which usually begins at home, haven't taken advantage of that.

The league office doesn't pick Booger out, he makes himself the target for his refusal to do anything within the team and you can bet if Garrett wanted to, he wouldn't be allowed. When Barber openly challenged Garrett over the tie rule, what happened to him? Nothing because there is no discipline allowed on the Dallas Cowboys; therefore, the league office must serve in that capacity to protect the image.

Posters here blaming Goodell or the NFL are way off the target.
The sports world is full of trouble makers. Baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer. Athletes are a slice of society. Parents cover up for their children. I don't see jerry as any worse than any other owner. "We're aware of the matter and are gathering more information " is the new buzzword in sports.

OK, let's look on the bright side of this and consider what's really important, us. Think about other team forums and what they have to discuss and then look at us, how many of these do we get to discuss and when we run out of one like Crawford, bonanza, we get Elliott. Other forums have to discuss football related stuff but we get potheads with purpose, barfights and drunk players wandering around music festivals.

Most forums would be satisfied with a HC in his last contract year, a totally inexperienced OC, the most polarized QB, following the most polarized QB, in the league but we get these bonuses. We are special.

It is a nothing incident.

The league might make something out of it, but nothing happened. Bigger picture is irrelevant beyond the league being vindictive.

It was not a nothing incident no matter how many times you try to convince yourself of it.

And it has nothing to do with vindictive. It has to do with sending a message to an idiot player who simply fails to get the previous message through his thick skull.

You are basically you trying to argue Elliott is some sort of victim here, which is absolutely laughable.

Wanna know why Zeke keeps doing stupid stuff? Because he's surrounded by people like you that tell him it's no big deal what he does.

I can see this being a one gamer even though you could probably show other similar incidents where I don’t think the players got any suspensions. I don’t think this is a big deal but Zeke has to realize when your famous folks ready for you make mistakes so they can tell you how moral they are and other annoying stuff even though I actually agree with those types some what. I’m just not a tell you my morality/POV type on obvious things. The type to say hitting a woman is wrong like the overwhelming majority of people don’t think like that anyway smh. It comes off to me as grandstanding/virtue signaling.
