Good point. Though I think the issue here is that Elliott was drunk. Even though he extended his arm into the guard, he could have destroyed him if he truly was set over the edge. JMO.

Well, I read here that he used a racial slur and if that's true and the investigation reveals that, he should be commended for exercising restraint. And according to another report, this guard is all up in his own butt wanting a "proper" apology. If I were Eliiott I would tell him "I am the Grinch that stole Christmas and I'm sorry".

We are talking about people surrounding Zeke, that is the context, smooth brain. Thus, it's people around him and who influences him. That was also referenced in the comment you responded to.

If you are in control of someone's future and their money, and they go out and mess up and you pretty much tell them "It just doesn't matter, it's minor, you're still getting that big pay day" - There are no consequences there, it's a pass to go out and be a knucklehead with no repercussions.

I can see this being a one gamer even though you could probably show other similar incidents where I don’t think the players got any suspensions. I don’t think this is a big deal but Zeke has to realize when your famous folks ready for you make mistakes so they can tell you how moral they are and other annoying stuff even though I actually agree with those types some what. I’m just not a tell you my morality/POV type on obvious things. The type to say hitting a woman is wrong like the overwhelming majority of people don’t think like that anyway smh. I honestly don't think fans are coming down on his actions based on morality as much as availability, although naturally fans would like to think of the players as good guys. It's really more the fact that he may have - again - jeopardized his ability to play the entire season, and that negatively impacts the team we all hope to see succeed.

But aside from that, suppose Zeke were your son. As his father, would you tell him he has to get his act together so he doesn't jeopardize his future, or would you tell him it's no big deal and advise him he can act this way if he wants?
