Forced labor without compensation … I think you might find that's not legal. Perhaps abolished along with … well … slavery.

Playing ball is labor? Doesn’t Zeke being out hurt the offense? Punishing the team is not the answer.

I'd also like to know what the security guard said to Zeke that set him off. I love my wife and vice versa. But we know how to push each others buttons on occasion.
Good point. Though I think the issue here is that Elliott was drunk. Even though he extended his arm into the guard, he could have destroyed him if he truly was set over the edge. JMO.
Had he been sober, I bet nothing occurs. He just seemed sloppy and wobbly to me. I see it a lot.

What I don't like is the star TB of the team, a player the Cowboys are thinking of handing over a big contract to, acting like a total idiot time and time again off the field.

It's perplexing why people are surprised fans have an issue with that.
Some people shouldn't drink. I think he's one of them and fine if he doesn't.

Well, I read here that he used a racial slur and if that's true and the investigation reveals that, he should be commended for exercising restraint. And according to another report, this guard is all up in his own butt wanting a "proper" apology. If I were Eliiott I would tell him "I am the Grinch that stole Christmas and I'm sorry".

You asked who is surrounding him influencing his behavior.

When your employer is essentially looking at you and saying "Meh, that incident doesn't matter, this won't impact the money you're getting" - this isn't an influence?

No responsible employer would tell an employee this if it makes their product look bad. None. Even just from a negotiation standpoint, it's dumb for any employer to say this LOL
I did not ask that question you made that up honestly. We are on messageboard so we can both see what I posted since it hasn’t changed. Maybe your confusing what I posted for someone else but I seriously never asked that question.

Maybe it is an influence to you but personally wouldn’t think nothing of it. If I felt I did wrong nobody could make me feel I did ok by saying it’s no big deal and just the opposite if I felt I was right. My views don’t swing by how others see them unless they give me some pov I hadn’t previously thought about that I think is worthy of possibly changing my previous POV. It happens I’m not always stuck on my viewpoint but there are times where nothing said changes how I view the situation either.

A MESSAGE FOR ALL OF YOU JUDGE, JURY AND PROSECUTIONERS OUT THERE.

The John Q public picks with Zeke where ever he goes, I guarantee it. How can I guarantee that, because people are horrible. Look no further than some posters on this site for proof. So what do you guys really think is happening with Zeke when he steps outside? Your a piece of crap Zeke, your terrible, Dak sucks, Garrett is the worse coach in the league. They need to get rid of all of y'all. If fact I'd still rather Ramsey over you.

And that's a Cowboy fan talking to Zeke like that. So what do you think happens when he runs into a Cowboy hater? People troll in real life just like they troll on line.

So is Zeke a horrible person or does he just live in a world full of horrible people? That's for a higher power to decide. Because if you keep treating a person like crap, they'll start to act like crap. So is it Zeke or John Q Public.

DONT TALK BAD ABOUT A MAN UNTIL YOU'VE WALKED A MILE IN HIS SHOES.

Yes, the security guard should have just warped through the barrier or Zeke - you're right, it was just a "flop".

The absolute state of this forum LOL
"Warped" through the barrier? Did you mean to say "phased" through the barrier. Perhaps he should have just kept his mouth shut.

We are talking about people surrounding Zeke, that is the context, smooth brain. Thus, it's people around him and who influences him. That was also referenced in the comment you responded to.

If you are in control of someone's future and their money, and they go out and mess up and you pretty much tell them "It just doesn't matter, it's minor, you're still getting that big pay day" - There are no consequences there, it's a pass to go out and be a knucklehead with no repercussions.

And where did he say anything? Post the link to what he said. He's a security guard, they aren't off-limits from talking to someone causing an incident.

LOL smooth brains are really out today.

I can see this being a one gamer even though you could probably show other similar incidents where I don’t think the players got any suspensions. I don’t think this is a big deal but Zeke has to realize when your famous folks ready for you make mistakes so they can tell you how moral they are and other annoying stuff even though I actually agree with those types some what. I’m just not a tell you my morality/POV type on obvious things. The type to say hitting a woman is wrong like the overwhelming majority of people don’t think like that anyway smh. It comes off to me as grandstanding/virtue signaling.

I honestly don't think fans are coming down on his actions based on morality as much as availability, although naturally fans would like to think of the players as good guys. It's really more the fact that he may have - again - jeopardized his ability to play the entire season, and that negatively impacts the team we all hope to see succeed.

But aside from that, suppose Zeke were your son. As his father, would you tell him he has to get his act together so he doesn't jeopardize his future, or would you tell him it's no big deal and advise him he can act this way if he wants? The reality is, people grow up and accept responsibility when there are consequences for not doing so.

I'm sorry, while I think this entire "incident" is a big nothing burger, people should not be award brownie points for "restraint" when someone calls them a name.

lol, I'd ask him for a loan with a bit less interest

Post the link where he said nothing. Zeke had his back to the guy and suddenly turns around and says "what did you say, buddy". Basically a nice way of saying "say that to my face" vacuum head.
