McDowell reportedly visited with the Cowboys but he still has not signed with an NFL team.

“The biggest question with him, is the medical question — making sure we’re comfortable with that,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said in March. “As a young player, there’s some uncertainty about him because he hasn’t played but when you go back to the evaluation coming out of school, you say, ‘Boy, there was a lot to like about him.’ We’re just in the process of trying to find out more about him.”

The visit took place in March and there has been little to no reports on him since. I have to believe that the Cowboys medical reports look just like the Seahawks medicas, which essentially said that the injuries sustained in that ATV accident were career ending.

So dumb. We will sign 3 or 4 guys that are long shot gambles that haven't made it anywhere else instead of ONE proven guy. Mindless.

What's it going to be then, eh?

He did well before the draft. Looks like we passed, which considering this, is smart.

Would be a good pickup

Would it? If he was a 100% healthy and playing to his Michigan State days, yes. Seattle can't be 100% wrong saying he can't play. Collins, Woods, and Hill are going to eat up snaps. The DL has a ton of depth - I don't think he would make the team.

Worth a risk though if Dallas can prove he is ready to go.

So let me get this straight.

We may still be kicking the tires on a guy with no track record, an injury history and questionable attitude, but won't kick the tires on McCoy, who is much better, has a better attitude, etc.

Makes sense. LOL.

Oh that's right............ McCoy is old and will cost money, McDowell is young and cheap, just what we are looking for.

I don’t see where we’re “still” doing anything with McDowell but a rehash of old news.

And *** if they are looking at him...
Helllllllooooooo
McCoy DUH

The Dallas FO isn't inclined to welcome the expense level of a contract that McCoy is looking for. This is something that has already been reported quite openly. Are they feeling the pressure of the prospective contracts that they're currently considering? Pretty good chance of that, imho.
