Listen, it’s no big secret. Dak’s accuracy issues have been identified from day one, as being due to issues with his footwork and the at times disconnect between his lower and upper body.

That was in all the scouting reports. And it was evident from watching him play.

I have always disagreed with the notion that accuracy is something you either have or don’t. It can be improved and tweaked. IMO. I know some disagree and that’s fine.

Now, ultimately we won’t know how far his footwork has come until he is dealing with a real pass rush.

But if Dak can and has improved that part of his game. That could take his game to the next level.
You can definitely work on your mechanics. Look what Cam Newton did in the offseason. Changed his entire throwing motion. It's not the first time. In Prescott I trust. Had specially when the game is on the line and his instincts take over. And now that he's a veteran no longer on-the-job training. Reading defenses is getting easier

David Helman (@HelmanDC) Tweeted:
Jason Witten said today that Dak Prescott has had “a hell of a camp” this spring. When asked why, he said Dak’s accuracy and anticipation have improved dramatically from before he retired. #cowboyswire https://t.co/NXcwFDg6rC

As a big critic of Dak’s this is music to my ears. This was something I wanted him to get better at, but wasn’t sure if was capable. Keep up the good work Dak

Witten's comment that Dak "knows this offense inside-out" should tell anyone who may be in denial that the offensive playbook is not going to differ much under Moore from the one Garrett installed and Linehan used. I hope nobody was expecting drastic changes. The Cowboys have made it clear that that isn't happening.

There may be more movement and better calls made to fit situations, but the scheme is still Garrett's.
I've been watching this game for 60 years. Every team runs the same plays. It's all about disguise. Sounds too simple to be true but it is a fact.

Totally disagree. All offenses have a base number of routes that are the same throughout the league. It’s all how you can disguise those routes with motion. That is going to be a drastic change for this offense as they were near the bottom in how many plays they ran with motion.
It takes a patient intelligent disciplined offensive line. Yes because it's about penalties. Totally agree

Damned if you do damned if you don’t...compliments met with saying te wants the ball, if he didn’t say anything people would be questioning dak...only way to win is to win...dak better do that this year and shut everyone up
That's all Dak does Is Win. And people still question. From the first snap until the last snap everything in between is called football. I care what you do when the game is on the line. That's where Prescott is a winner

Love Aikman, but that comment never made sense to me. It's like saying a pitcher can't improve his control by working on it. Nolan Ryan is one example of a guy who did exactly that, and cut his walk rate in half in his 30s. He walked guys like it was a bodily function in his 20s.

Whether Dak will improve remains to be seen, but the notion that it's not possible is silly to me.

Nolan Ryan. You brought back memories. I agree

Agreed. We are also talking about not needing dramatic increases. We aren’t talking about Tim Tebow levels of inaccuracy. Dak completes over 64% of his passes. He just needs refinement and some
Minor improvements. It’s not like he can’t throw the ball at all.

You sound like your talking to a bunch of idiots that don't understand QB development or QB play.

Which is exactly what you are doing. LOL

That's good to hear, I'm keeping all My moveable bits crossed that it translates to the field.

You mean in pro bowls, rookie of the year honors, winning season, playoffs, QB ratings...………..that kind of stuff?

If all you trolls are good for is telling us all that a young QB has things to improve on, then the lot of you are completely useless.

Because that's what most of us Dak supporters have been telling your for 3 years now.

You may think that's what you are seeing but it is much more than that.

If you've got a defense or defensive back who is really good at bump and run coverage, you may want to stack your receivers so that it's harder to get a jam on them at the line of scrimmage.

If a defense is playing tight in the box to take away the inside run, you may want to motion the tight end out wide to pull away the safety.

Those things are not disguise, they are scheme.

Year after year with Dez Bryant, we kept him on the outside even when he went up against a corner his equal on a team that doesn't have their corners follow a receiver. There were only two reasons not to move him into the slot in such games, either he couldn't play out of the slot or our offensive minds weren't willing to scheme him open.

There was a play that Bill Parcells liked that I also liked. It wasn't one you use all the time, but every now and then, he'd roll the quarterback to his right, have the tight end fake and cut block and then head out to his left for a wide-open throw across the field. That's scheme.

In the playoffs, the Rams continually faked the reverse to Cooks to suck our linebackers and safeties to the outside some and then ran up the middle. That's a product of scheme and disguise. The two work hand in hand. The better the scheme for the defense you are facing, the more effective the disguise.

Please read the post I just made. If you disagree with that, then I don't know what to say.

I don't care that everything sounds better in the offseason, that's some good press right there.

I have NEVER heard ANY player in ANY offseason compliment Dak in THAT way. He could have said anything. Could have complimented his leadership. The fact that he said anticipation and accuracy, velocity, is great.

Something the trolls have been begging for. Yet they will cry
