Many here are concerned about overpaying for Dak.
Many are weary about paying him Top money because they have doubts of his potential to be a Super Bowl winning QB.
While Dak's ceiling is in question/debatable, I think one thing we do know is what his Floor is.
Does anyone really think that he will regress from where he is now?
With his Floor being established as what we've seen up to this point, he deserves to be paid the market rate ($30-32 Million per year avg) for Top 10 QB's.
There is the Garpalo/Carr/Cousins range ($25-28 Million) and then the Ryan,Wentz, Rodgers, Wilson ($30-34 Million).
Dak may not be deserving of the Top 5 QB range but he has clearly demonstrated that he is above the upper Top 10 Range.
He has outperformed the $25-28 level QB's. He has demonstrated his ability to win and with the talent around him improving, he looks to have a chance to excel even more.
Therefore, anything less than $32 million a year seems unlikely.

I got the eightball, the chrystal, the mirror mirror on the wall and I still have no clue where Dak's contract will fall. If I knew I'd tell y'all but these twenty thousand threads ain't helping at all. So I'm about to have a Coke and a smile and say to hell with all y'all.

We know the floor from a conditional 4th round pick. We do not know the ceiling going into year 4 with an offense that has yet to tap into Dak’s qualities.

We will know more in year 4 than we have any other year. But since he’ll be getting paid sooner than later, we know that Dak at least trends on the winning side.

We know he’s not Brady or Rodgers. But we know he’s a player and that the team loves him! He’ll get better. This is why the ceiling cannot be measured, and why it’s stupid not to pay him.

Once you're above a bare minimum of physical ability, then everything else for a QB is mental. And there's kind of no way to tell how far a guy will progress mentally, or how fast they'll progress, unless they're just gratuitously stupid.

Joe Montana and Tom Brady were both bottom half of the league in terms of raw physical ability, and their ceiling ended up being "all-time greats." Some guys get up to speed mentally super fast, and some take several seasons to flip the switch so to speak.

To be honest...it's interesting conversation but we should really only be concerned about how Dak plays. Any player for that matter.

It’s very simple. If you see a Dak related thread just ignore it instead of whining like a 6 yr old.
Dak lover you are give it a break, the only 6 year old mentality is yours.

I get you it AC, you Dak lovers can't help yourselves, don't agree names, insults, get out of here. Like your other sad sack buddy "Rockyport" you just can't control your urges you have for Dak. Another sad Dak post just about daily that says the same old thing, yes that's real fandom, I'll try harder to humor the mentally challenged like you and your buddy.
