OBJ video could easily fall under the conduct detrimental.
Dont need to PROVE it was drugs, the perception off what it was by the public is all that matters.
Ok, then same goes for Dak or any player holding a “cigar”. Then they should also retro actively suspend Zeke for the St Patty’s day parade and tack on another few games for being caught on video intimidating a guy and initiating physical contact.

Add those two together and Zeke may not be in the league anymore. The NFL didn’t suspend OBJ for perception and they didn’t suspend Zeke for the St Patricks Day parade, it’s not as one sided as some of you make it seem. The NFL also never looked into the nightclub incident which they could have if they were really out to get him.

now that we can agree upon. Zeke obviously becomes a an angry drunk. KNowing how high profile he is, if I am jerry, I pay some clown 100k (chump change) to go wherever zeke goes when he is in public. I would ensure he doesnt do something stupid. A small price to pay to protect my ivestment.
Did that with Dez. And pacman.

Yeah, anyone siding with Elliott on this one is really homering it up. He knows he has to walk the narrower line.
Sure he does.

The point is not the action. If Goodell took all cases and promoted anything close to a consistent standard being applied in all cases, it would make a lot more sense.

There are still players running around with zero consequences for the same or worse infractions of the conduct policy that are not being addressed with nearly the amount of expedition.

This has the biggest impact and is more about promoting that he is McGruff The Crime Dog more than it is about legitimate justice or holding players accountable consistently for off-the-field conduct.

But if there's a video, they get operational pronto pronto because Goodell is very sensitive to anything people can actually see.

This is it in a nutshell. Which is why his shirt pulling incident didn’t do him any favors when the other investigation was going on. Without that episode on film for all to see, you have to wonder if he would’ve got the 6 games in the first place.

He is there holding a blunt roach, on a bed talking bout getting this hooker to sleep with some one else. And she is chopping up coke. Hmmm. He says it was pizza crust he was holding and the coke was the nice ladies and the whole thing is dropped by the NFL and the media.

whatever. I have no faith in Goodell. Zeke plays for JJ...he WILL be fined and suspended. Zeke should know better how to behave in public as well.
If we offer this fathead bonehead a second contract I’ll be pizzed. He’s an idiot.

Expect the worst case scenario here, which I'd guess is 2 game suspension. Not saying its warranted but wont surprise me at all given the randomness of the personal conduct rulings.

And scream about unfairness from the league office all you want but in the end, this is about Zeke if he gets suspended.

Any person with even an iota of common sense would understand the target on one's back and be careful. But not our RB. He's a special kind of silly.

Then so does every other player who got drunk and involved in an altercation this past offseason.

That includes Tyrone Crawford. It also includes several lower profile players like Eagles CB Jalen Mills and Panthers OG Taylor Hearn.

This is high-profile targeting and grandstanding. No better way to rattle the saber for the league than do take out one of it's most visible players.
Interesting that he's meeting with Elliott when Crawford's altercation was before Elliott's and there was some violence involved.

I really think he's getting a face to face stay out of the news warning and no action, maybe a fine at the most, and Crawford is catching a time out and no meeting. I think Goodell sees this guy pay for a kid's funeral one week and then be walking around loaded at a music festival the next and wasn't really looking for trouble. I also think Goodell still gives Elliott the benefit of the doubt on the DV but he had to go with the panel when they came back 4-0. I think he realizes Elliott isn't a trouble maker, a bad kid, just an overgrown one that seems to want too good of a time but he also has a big heart and the positive news he gets works in his favor as well.

I am looking for good news because of the timing of this. This is really a short time from that video surfacing to a meeting. I think the others you mentioned are still in the process. This was pretty easy, talk to the cops as to why they didn't arrest him, talk to the guard about what he said and why he didn't press charges and then talk to Elliott.

What he did doesn't warrant any action except for the fact they have this history with him and don't think they don't have some info on his days at OSU and what prompted his father to move to Columbus. They know more about this one player than any other.

He just doesn't seem to get it, stay out of the news!! That's all they care about. Don't force them to do something because unlike some here, I don't think this is Goodell's favorite part of the job. Players break the rules and the fans get mad at him for doing what the owners pay him to do, protect the shield.

I bet there are a lot of low profile events that they investigate and we never hear anything about them. But if there's a video, they get operational pronto pronto because Goodell is very sensitive to anything people can actually see.
I am sure what he did and admitted to doing in college makes them look at him harder and closer but they need to let that go. If he is passing his drug tests (and I am sure they are testing him) then it’s not a issue. But the stupidity he displayed several times now can’t be over looked. I am waiting to see if they drop the hammer on Crawford, that was a straight up brawl, not a little forearm check. I think if the barricade wasn’t there then this would be a non issue.

Elliott probably doesn't get hauled in front of the commissioner if he didn't have the past he had. In other words, comparing him to Crawford doesn't make a ton of sense to me because Crawford's incident was a one time thing and his history is probably a factor here.

Then there's Elliott. A guy who has been known to be stupid off the field since college.

I don't think getting called to the Principal's office is ever "good news".

yup, normally SOMETHING will happen. If it was gonna be a slap on the wrist, I think a conf. call or something would have been done. This looks not good for Zeke.

Just wait for the Friday 5PM news dump.

Breaking news---Tyreek Hill suspended one game; Elliott suspended eight.

Yeah the speed of the meeting makes me think it’s not suspension. Now Crawford will likely get a time out. But they are saying the security was in the wrong also there. After a brief pushing match started punching him first. Then Crawford dropped one of them like a bad habit.
