Pay him. Its arguable he is the best RB in the NFL. At the very least top 3. Dak is arguably top 15. Much of Dak's success is predicated on Zeke. If Zeke holds out, high chances it is ugly for Dak. Dak is no Romo. He cannot create and make the pre snap calls to open things up as effectively as his predecessor. But he is a "Leader of Men".

Holdouts have become a standard routine in contract negotiations. No big deal. Just gives the two rookies more practice time. Nothing to be worried about yet.

As much as I adore Zeke, and I do. Bro has zero leverage in talks. Love the kid, but the off-field incidents do not add up to long term/big bucks.

Off-the-field is his proving ground. And that has yet to be met!

#22 said his phone didn't "ring" a single solitary time with inquiries as to his services from the other teams in the league,,,good luck with that genius midget brain stormed plan of yours #21:thumbup:

I don't know what the rules were then, but now a team couldn't contact Zeke while he is under contract to the Cowboys.

Really more the threat of holdouts has become standard in negotiations. I think it's still pretty rare that a holdout actually happens.

And this is why I was against Stephen revealing anything about contract plans for any player...

his words, now Zeke wants that Gurley money.

He wasn't a free agent. This was 1993, before unrestricted free agency. Teams would have had to call Dallas.

Did you have a problem with Emmitt holding out despite being under contract? He held out for a new contract into the season, but he produced, helped win championships, and we forgave him.

Pay Dak.
Pay Cooper.
Pay Zeke.

Pay them now while you can. You just finally built a defense and a top receiving corps....it would be foolish to lose your stud RB.

Emmitt wasn't under contract when he missed 2 games in 1993. His initial deal had expired and he wasn't satisfied with the offer Dallas had made. He gambled and waited until after the season started and lucked out that Dallas didn't have a good contingency plan in place. Jerry caved, and upped his offer.

Copy! It's just that from the video of a #22 interview, Emmett came across as to being genuinely butt hurt over the fact of him not receiving even the slightest interest from other teams.

1st and 2nd round Running Backs deserve bigger rookie contracts. Most of their value is the first five years unlike a QB and they have a short shelf life thereafter. They should be negotiating during the CBA talks, actually I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. Think about it Lineman, DB's & QB's can play 15 years, RB's play 6-7 if they're lucky. Wr's are getting 15-20 million on second contracts, nobody wants to give a RB a second contract. It's not a fair playing field.

He should....he has all the leverage right now. Especially this year where we believe were contenders

Gotta do whats best for you. Stephen’s cheap *** will use you and then drop you like a bad habit as soon as he’s done with ya. Get your money Zeke.

Literally it seems as though there’s a personal reason he keeps pushing the agenda lol
For clicks. Fox sports 1 does it too on all of their shows. It frustrates me to know end that these shows are worried about our cap situation. What about the other NFL teams. I hear very little about the Chiefs and the child abuser or their 50 million dollar QB.
