They were 26th last year in the red zone and were 7th in 2017. How much did the absence of Witten play into the red zone woe's last year? I never really considered Witten to be a red zone threat but that's just my opinion. What do you think Moore needs to do inside the 20 that they failed to do last year? Think about how many points you leave on the field when your ranked 26th in the red zone and how that determines wins and losses. I do know that they need to get Zeke involved more and by that I mean catching the ball and so forth.........
Addition by subtraction - Linehan gone.
Fredbeard back. Oline healthy.
The goal line should be all about Dak. He can run and throw on the move.
I'm for going very jumbo with our quality oline depth and giving Dak simple read options on Zeke and Cooper.
Dak, Zeke, Cooper,
Smith, McGovern, Fredbeard, Martin, Collins
Williams, Looney
If we still had Beasley, I'd give him one side of the field, but besides Cooper, I don't see a guy I'm counting on to beat double teams.
I'm not sure about the 11th.
It really should be Rico as a serious blocking and post up threat.
Maybe Fleming.
Maybe Hill at FB.
Put hat on hat for blocking, and let 3 unblocked defenders try to take Dak, Zeke, and Cooper.
Single man on Zeke or Cooper seems like a win to me. No matter what the defense does with their 3 free, I see 2/3 wins for us.
Use our players right, and we should be damn near unstoppable.
