Hmmm...let's revisit:
Cool. Which AVERAGE QBs are making 30 mil annually. I have a little time, I can wait.
Hmmm...let's revisit:
No. I was initially speaking to that poster when you entered the conversation. Basically, it is you who jumped in. Please excuse me for expecting you to have read the thread before entering the conversation. You have a tough time with this sort of thing, don't you.
So, your intent was either for the conversation to never progress or evolve, or maybe you thought everyone would just say, yes sir, you are right and there is nothing else to say. Lol
And, of course, it doesn’t matter that we’re we’re what, 8-10 posts into the back and forth we were having? You felt it made sense to quote me, as if this were just the next in our exchanges, and in your response quote someone else without identifying you were doing so and pretend your argument against that person somehow applied to me?
Lol, well if logic doesn’t matter, it’s damn easy to win a debate, right?
Don’t you mean “below average”?Cool. Which AVERAGE QBs are making 30 mil annually. I have a little time, I can wait.
Don’t you mean “below average”?
In fact, let me just ask you, because it is not clear to me, what is your point in this entire thread? What is it you are actually trying to discuss? Are you here to add to the discussion or are you just here to engage in adolescent argument?
Any starting QB that is signing a long term contract (4+ years) after this off-season.
The fact is $30 + million is rapidly becoming a normal figure for a quality NFL QB. Note I said quality, not elite. That’s just the market. It’s supply and demand and works just like the real estate market or commodities markets. If a team won’t pay the price it takes to have a quality QB it will have to settle for Brock Osweiler or Case Keenum or Ryan Tannehill or gamble on a rookie or unproven vet.
LOL.... I'm good with that too. Tell you what, if you can name a QB who fits in either one of those categories, who is making 30 million annually, I'll accept that as proof.
I mean, you guys are amazing. Neither one of you wants to answer the simple question. Who is that QB who is making that kind of bank right now, other then those few who I named earlier. You can't because they don't exist. You don't have a fact of any kind to support your apparent position here.

Actually he isn't who y'all thought he was because y'all were saying he would be lucky to be a backup QB in this league..... Instead he is the starting QB of America's TeamHe’s middle of the pack. Maybe a bit higher. He’s exactly the 4th round pick we drafted. To echo Dennis Green, “he is who we thought he was”.

*sigh* I guess I have to repost this for the 3rd or 4th friggen time:
^^^ That's been my point. If you think Dak is worth/valued/will accept well under $30M, well, prepare to be disappointed.
And apparently, I wasn't the only one with that opinion:
That didn't sit well with you and now we're 14-pages deep.
As for "adolescent argument", you've done nothing but whine and become more triggered with each exchange. I'm sure you'll lead into your next response with "LOL" or "LMAO", right?
Considering how hard it is to find a good QB I'm confused why do many dislike Dak. Guess the prefer a guy like Romo who failed in the playoffs and makes excuses why. Funny that the ones that dislike Dak are Romo lovers. I'm a Cowboys fan and will support any player on the team. I'm not going to dislike them because they took one of my favorite players spot.Crazy that people that follow football enough to make a forum account are so football ignorant that they believe a 4th rounder should be an average NFL starter at QB.
That's a whole lot of stupid right there.
Teams would kill for an average starter in the 4th.
I think the argument is if a perennial loser like Kirk Cousins gets $28 mill per year, a perpetually injured Carson Wentz gets even more; and a less established (but maybe higher pedigree?) QB like Jimmy Garoppolo gets big money; than Dak's agent can easily argue for similar money.
Not arguing whether or not Dak is worth it, but I am sure this is what his agent is spinning; and rightfully so.
Where is this Dak hasn't proven he is the guy? I'm his first 3 seasons he has won rookie of the year, broke numerous records, won the division 2 of 3 years, won a playoff game against a Superbowl winning QB and considered one of the most clutch guys in the league, has averaged 11 wins per season, has never had a losing season since being the starter. It's he a perfect QB, no but not a single QB can claim that. Is he the best in the league, no but he is top 10-12. I'm clutch time does Dak play his best, yes he does.
Not sure what else the guy has to do to be proven.
That is the argument but the claim specifically was that even average QBs were getting 30 million annually. That's just not true and I explained that. The rest of this is just shadow dancing around the central point. I don't believe that this whole 30 million going rate thing is true.
This is kind of the problem. I mean, everything that you have said here, has been posted on and commented on, and yet, it keeps coming back up. Kirk Cousins got a three year deal. Wentz, in all actuality got an extension that pays him 27 over 6 years. Garappolo got a two year deal. I mean, I would sign Dak to a deal like Garappolo's or Cousins or even Wentz today. The problem is signing him to a long term, big guaranteed money deal for 30 plus million before he has really proven he is the guy. I am certain his agent wants the big deal contract now, but that doesn't mean it's smart for the team to do that.
The Fan base has different opinions, I understand that, I think everybody does. We'll see what happens I suppose. As I said earlier, this has been discussed multiple times.
