As a fan I hate it.

As a player I have to do it.

Yes you can talk about honoring your contract and you would be right but this is the only leverage he has. The Cowboys could tie him up for years with tags at a position with a limited life span.

Melvin Gordon, Michael Thomas and Zeke are sending an NBA like shot over the Owners bow, trying to get some control over their careers.

I’m amused by the “yawns” and “meh’s“ who don’t think this is a big deal. He might just hold out preseason or dig in but this isn’t a one off. This is a concerted power play by players and Leveon Bell proved you can force the team’s hand.

Like it or not this could be the beginning of a new way of doing business as players.
Well, logic would dictate the #21 fall in line& lift that bale& tote that barge till he's attained an more advantageous position of elavated leverage, for if that college educated idiot pulls the trigger on the only bullet in his gun by holding out this year? I'll be in a non-stop hilarious laughing 3 day bender of jocularity over the displayed "piss ignorance" of that plan being deployed & I would be genuinely looking forward to rumbling echoes off in the distant horizon, that being the sound of his self inflicted crashing&burning of his football career,,,DO IT,ZEEK-DADDY-0 ZERO,

Do it:lmao:

What hand did Bell force?

The Steelers didn’t budge, Bell lost out on like 14MM for a year that he’ll never get back and the Steelers found a competent TB that costs them squat.
*it's useless in reiterating the stone cold facts to the terminally clueless around here,Bro*:starspin:

Bell was in his sixth NFL season. He has more than played out his four-year rookie contract. Once he wasn't under the restriction of a tag, he's open for business. And that was his goal.
Since he never stayed, could the Steelers have tagged him again, which would be a second tag, since he never signed the second one?
