It's bad business to extend someone on their rookie contract who is locked up for 2 more years. It sets a terrible precedent.

It's Zeke.

Who cares about some rookie deal he signed in 2016?

He's already owed the 2019/2020 cash.

We are talking about his new deal.

Your ability to remain impervious to any and all facts presented which refute your repeated generalizations is remarkable. :muttley:

I'm on the fence about paying him because of off the field stuff and running backs in general, but to say he's simply a product of "a great OL and huge volume" is nonsense.
What facts have I ignored good sir.

Any objective analysis of Zeke’s performance the last two years leaves a lot wanting...

"on the same level as Emmitt."

Elliot isn't even performing at an elite level relative to his contemporaries.... And you compare him against one of the lions of the game?

That's embarrassing.

You should compare some stats.

And rushing titles.

Nothing embarrassing about Zeke.

Whats the matter? He didn't gain enough yards for you?

Not score enough TDs?

Didn't win enough rushing titles? Not enough 100 yard games?

Spoiled fans. They are the worst.
No its mostly he only got what was blocked (this is generous we actually performed worse per run than expected given our offensive line). Didn't force miss tackles or do much when he did (ranked 35th last year). Didn't break long runs (ranked 15th last year). Was essentially just a dump off for passes (ranked 19th in yards per route run).

Spoiled fans are bad. Stupid fans are worse.

That ducunoso is beyond being a fruit loop in his adamantly pushing for blowing a big hole in our salary cap perimeter berm,,,in fact, my Feudian senses are registering in the high probability range of "it" being another under the wire sapper of opposition team fandom

That's why they cut Hurns.

5 million buys a lot of Zeke.

If he's idiot enough to pull a tizzy tantrum & hold out while still having a full solid year ( or more) being under contract, that antisocial bipolar acting dude will definitely be idiot enough to take his foot off the pedal and engage the "cruise control",,, you're way behind the learning curve of human nature if yer' oblivious to that easily foreseeable tracked tactic:rolleyes:

What hand did Bell force?

The Steelers didn’t budge, Bell lost out on like 14MM for a year that he’ll never get back and the Steelers found a competent TB that costs them squat.

Imagine choosing to lose 14 mil out of spite.
Upmpha umpha ah.

Go back and do those same numbers for emmitt. Id be curious as to what they are. So phillip Lyndsey likely had much better PER touch numbers than Zeke. You saying youd take Lyndsey over Zeke? I mean, he is more efficient.

Is it impressive if you win the rushing title but have way more carries than anyone else but aren't particularly efficient with the carries you receive?

I don't find that impressive.
BUt I bet you drool over emmitt's numbers in 1992 when we won our 1st SB with Jimmy, right? Well Smith avg 4.6 yards per carry and 5.7 yards per reception.... but you would give you rleft pinkie to have emmitt and those numbers, right? Zeke had 4.7 yards per carry and 7.3 yards per catch.... so how are you not impressed with zeke, but drooling over Emmitt? Zeke avg over 10 yards oer cath in his other 2 seasons.

I'd look at what his contemporaries averaged as a first and foremost. Then i'd look at his efficiency metrics.

You can't be this simple as to just compare counting stats. You don't actually think that's smart right?

Except it isn't in this case. He said.... "I support Zeke" ... In a dispute that hurts the Cowboys.

I UNDERSTAND when a player holds out. I get it. Bodies are frail. Earning potential is short. As a fan of the team it is always my wish to pay any individual player as little as they'll accept.

Rooting for the player here is rooting against the Cowboys team interest.

This is not rocket science so even you should get it.

So when Jerry Jones et al cut a good player because they "cost too much", e.g., Ware in 2014, you don't think Jerry (management) is hurting the team? Or when he makes bad trades, bad draft picks and bad coaching hires? Most professional sports team owners are greedy douches, and JJ is no exception. When Jerry Jones waited until the spring of 2019 to sign D-Law at 125% of what he could have signed him for in the spring of 2018, THAT doesn't hurt the team? Or waiting to extend Dak and Amari after Wentz and probably Julio Jones sign which drives up their prices? THAT doesn't hurt the team? Sorry, it's not binary. 99/100 I support the player in a labor/management dispute, which doesn't mean I don't root just as hard tor the team to win.

Look man ,Ware was basically combat ineffective at the time our Football Dad's esteemed decision to jettison, Was viewed necessary, Ware hisself has espoused that singular overt action as to being the sole impetus in his " come back" motivation,,,o_O

those baseline laws of diminishing returns only lie to those that are blind, ya dig?

Edit: perhaps my choice in the usage of "sole" should've been replaced with something less than singularly primary ,,er,, ah,hell,,,maybe like
" putting the spurs to his once was viable slats" being in an more viable& less adamantly illustrative decree of what transpired:confused:
