lol... my man you are taking this way too seriously and tilting at windmills.
zeke is trying to get paid for himself... this isn't some grand mission that effects anyone else.

read the sturm piece in the the athletic.
RBs aren't about get paid big money.

zeke is already paid as the 5th highest RB(this year's cap hit) in football before the extension.
he is not the guy to feel sorry for nor the one to make change happen for the position.
he is a great player who will make even greater money than he already is.

he can miss all camp and all pre-season and it's no big deal.
if he wants to go to mattresses over a new deal he is the one with the most to lose.
every RB in football wants to run behind this DAL OL.
the joneses have zero reason to flinch here.
This is serious. You just don’t see it now but you will.

Maybe he just wanted to get the wheels rolling on a process that he saw no progress being made. If he shows up by 6 Aug with no new deal then that's all it was.

It only becomes an issue if the "holdout" lasts into the regular season. Zeke doesn't need pre-season. He may not play in any of the pre-season games even if he is there. Much ado about nothing at this time.

On another note, these rookie contracts are something that should be negotiated between the NFL and the players union. As it is now, rookies are "slotted" on salaries according to their draft position. There should be some mechanism in the contract for salary correction based on performance after two years in the league. That could benefit both sides: i.e. Zeke, and Taco.

...LOL...in other words...Zeke would get a raise, and Taco would get a pay cut!!!...

I’m sure his father moved to Ohio State because Zeke was a child and wanted to keep him in check. Something a real father does.
No..hes spoke about it..Hemoved to Ohio State because Zeke was so immature and worried he would make bad moves...which he has done

That’s stupid to assume he didn’t teach his child right from wrong. If you don’t feel like your child can handle living non his own then yeah a real father makes sure his son is on the right path. That’s a real father. Quit comparing him as a father to what you did. That doesn’t mean you weren’t a good father but your daughters ain’t Zeke. Different circumstances.
I was merely replying to your definition of a real father. It's stupid for you to assume I didn't think Zeke's father was good to him. As a matter of fact, he seems to have been a big part and still is in his life. And if you read my post, you would have seen I said that if that's what his dad thought was the best for him, then that's what he should have done.

Have you ever been wrong before? Just curious because most of your posts on here come off as you know it all. I'll be the first to say I don't know everything, maybe you should try it sometime. It's actually refreshing and may cure some of your vitriolic posts on here.

There isn’t just one definition of what a real father is. I don’t know what you are even arguing here. I’ve been wrong before. I’m not sure how I’m wrong in this instance but if you can let me know I’ll listen. Not sure how many of my posts you’ve actually seen but I’ll tell you right now I’m pro player. I’m not pro owner and I definitely am not of the belief fans own these players. If you are on the other end of the spectrum of that then I’m sure we will have disagreements. But that doesn’t mean someone is right or wrong. It’s all opinions.

I don't fault Zeke (especially after what happened to Hurns) and I don't fault the Cowboys either. Both are just looking out for their own interests.

If Zeke holds out, he just becomes an RFA. That'll majorly lower his future income. We've seen how skeptical teams are to give big contracts to RBs - who would give Zeke a big contract plus pay a first round pick to do it? He'd either have to bargain with Dallas on Dallas' terms or play a 6th year for about $5M on a first round tender.

As a UFA, he's got a credible threat to walk away from the Cowboys. "I don't have to sign with you, I can find a Tampa Bay type team who will throw a big deal at me". As an RFA, he has no more Plan B. And he becomes an RFA in like 2 weeks. So Zeke will be here.

If Zeke holds out , he proves what is feared all along , that he is a selfish player who turned his back on a team owner who stood By him through his negligence, childish , reckless and legal issues . Heck , Jerry confronted the commissioner for zeke . Zeke better get on with camp and start showing gratitude for a team that stood by him .
And for those who glorify Zeke, please note has not won anything big for the cowboys yet . He has had subpar games as well , so he is a good Rb behind the best OL in the NFL . Many Good RBs would post similar yardage .
Conjecture.

A player can become a RFA even if they're already under contract? You sure about that, Beware? Doesn't sound right.

He really needs to report by August 6th. My guess is he will.
This right here,, thought it was the 5th, but whatever, doesn't matter,, In order for Zeke to protect is FA eligibility for next year, he must meet this deadline.

Yea, I really couldn't care less if Zeke missed part of camp. Need him in September.

I agree with most everything you said. I'm not pro either way: both have their positives and negatives.

Maybe the way I worded my original reply was not correct, you are on the spot about many things can make a great father. I've always been of the belief we 'are put on this earth to make the next generation better. It's always been the one thing in life that fills me with true pride.

I guess I just think sometimes your responses are rather blunt and argumentative, but hey, it's that's who you are then that's cool.

I got no beef with you and I actually agree with most of the way you feel about the Cowboys, just not the presentation.

Have a great day.

He does which is why he's holding out. He's doing it for those after him just like LEveon Bell before him. Something has to change.
LeVeon Bell was beyond his rookie contract, he reportedly turned down a 2 year $30MM contract offer, the franchise tag would have paid him among the top paid RBs in football, and he had been suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy twice. I don’t think of his cause as particularly noble.

It probably is a bit blunt. I blame this site lol. I came here humble and when I do I get called out of my name when someone disagrees with me lol. I forget all posters aren’t the same here.

I wish Zeke had Jaylon’s leadership and character.
You're 150% correct I'd also like to see him cut his hair and trim his beard and stop wearing his damn shirt like a girl wearing a crop top not appealing at all LOL
