Jarwin was ahead of Rico before camp. Well ahead. Rico was never a threat to him.
Yeah, I know he was ahead of Rico by a lot -- but it sounds like he is ahead of Witten too which is fantastic news.

I hope that's true. I think Witten can still play a reasonable role, but the downfield threat at TE will have to come from Jarwin.

When you don't practice for a whole season it's tough. Some ppl can't learn just from reading plays. That's why there are different ways to teach. Some need the physical reps.

Fair enough, but nothing reported ever gave me the indication he was studying film or attempting to improve. I dont recall any stories of Rico the tireless worker burning the midnight oil.

With his lack of experience he really needed to work his tail off.

Djax will soon follow
I doubt that until final cuts. If Zeke holds out into the season Jackson will make this team. Without Zeke, Jackson is the best blocker and can catch the ball plus run inside and outside. Pollard and Webber make it because they are better plus drafted. Morris and Chunn most likely get cut first.

So which player have you heard that about lol. It's propaganda trash. These are young men trying to make it. The cowboys took advantage of jeff heath spearing him in the helmet in practice. Put him on IR for the entire year no practice just to make room for kellen moore.

OXNARD, Calif. - he Cowboys have apparently seen enough of the Rico Gathers experiment, deciding to cut the tight end on Monday here at training camp.

Gathers was entering his fourth camp with the team, and had seemingly improved every year, going from the practice squad in 2016-17 to the active roster last year in 2018, when he played 15 games, including four starts.

But here at camp, Gathers hadn’t made a big impact, and also suffered a minor ankle injury that kept him out a few days........
What took so long.

Seriously? You've never heard stories about the guys that set the standard? Romo became a football junky in the later part of his career. Sean Lee is another one. Then you hear stories of the guys that are in the weight room every day of the offseason.

I listen to a lot of various podcasts during my commute and I catch various examples. It seemed the organization was disappointed with Rico and wanted him to have a better grasp for what he was doing. Negative plays were taking away from his elite size/ability.
