I’d take the offer off table if I was JJ. You dont pay that to a QB who gets elevated by better players around him.

You pay the big bucks to guys that make journeyman look like all pros.

? Dline elevate LBs and DBs, DBs elevate Dline. Oline elevate whole offense, RB elevate WR, WR elevate RB, RB/WR elevate oline. It’s a team sport...the problem is the salary cap and general financial system.

I hope no one is surprised by this. I knew right away it was more than a bruise. They downplay all injuries, especially to the big names.

That's silly, that's like saying Aikman wasn't great without Emmitt or Irvin or any one of the three without one of the others. Wait, OK, not silly.

You touch on an interesting point, how was Aikman without one or both of the other two? And this is a HOF QB.

We were 3-5 without Cooper last year.

The year before, we went 3 games in a row without a touchdown during Zeke's suspension.

It's a tenuous situation.

Yah right. Do suspensions count in there as well?
Yup. I guess you live in a bubble. Check out the Commanders and Eagles injuries from last year and get back to me to tell me how much more fortunate they’ve been than us. Giants already have a player suspended but he got 4 games for PED’s instead of two? Why is that?

Cooper is going to be fine. BTW, Spag’s, never said it was more serious.

and the Kevin Durant disaster, i'm not ever taking any heel, calf, ankle injury lightly.
and don't dare push the hurry on this either. ..:(

How did we go from having a drama free offseason to Quinn being suspended, Zeke holding out, Dak supposedly turning down on offer that overpaid him in the first place, to now Amari with a ligament injury in about two weeks time?

The joys of being a Dallas fan.

Jerry is happy because Cowboys are in the news
Winning, you ask?
That takes a back seat as always

They need all three to be successful but that brings up the real question, how successful can they be with all three?

At some point in this journey, you have to consider will this get us to the destination or are we better taking the longer way around with a better chance of arriving at our destination?

Im not sure I understand your point.

It all comes down to who gets injured, how important they are, and the ability of the coach and the team to handle those injuries.

And what does ANY of that have to do with being concerned about them?

So no matter what happens, its "who cares it happens to everyone"?

Seems mindless to me. How about you just avoid those threads?

I cant speak for anyone else, but my expectations for this season were that the Cowboys had a legitimate shot to be a contender. With all these issues popping up, that expectation is getting downgraded by the day.

Now can we overcome some major issues and make the playoffs? Maybe, but thats not what I am talking about.

My point? My point was we’ve been pretty fortunate for the past few years as far as injuries go and much more fortunate than our divisional rivals.

Meh

And honestly, it’s really shaping up that Dak will be forced to show he makes the players around him better.

Good luck with that

This team is fatally flawed until the QB learns how to win games against elite teams with his arm when necessary. Bottom line.

This is silly. No one says a QB doesn’t need help, but there is a difference between a player like Alex Smith and Tom Brady.
