@TwoDeep3 as others on this thread have already written, Dak was NOT the reason that the Cowboys lost that game to the Packers. If anything, he carries the team on his back.
Dak threw for more than 300 yards in that game, 3 touchdowns, 132 of those yards to Dez Bryant. That game was lost by the defense.
What especially hurt was that Dak brought the team back several times. They were down 28-20 when threw a TD to Dez then ran it in himself for the two point conversion. Then he drove them again for the tying field goal and left less than a minute on the clock.
When I dial back my emotions to how I felt during that game, you just knew that the last team with the ball in their hands was going to win. It’s incredible, but 58 seconds was indeed too much time to leave on the clock.
But the defense blew that game. Romo at quarterback would not have changed the outcome.
If anything, they might have lost worse and hurt Dak’s confidence in a way that could have lost the team and turned them against the coach.
