If the Egirls can coax Josh McCown, 40, back, can we not pursue Romo?

Yeah, the Egirls are getting McCowen back as backup QB!

I say go on bended knee to Romo, get him back temporarily from broadcasting, give Romo $28 mil a year for two years.
And tell Dak to play out his contract.

I was no fan of Romo, but, boy howdy! I miss the accurate long ball!!!!
I would luv Romo as the backup/Starter lol but if he wanted to be a backup, he could of stayed in 2017 but left.. he isnt backup material, has an Ego as starter..

The Mccowns and all similar QBs like Fitz and Case they are fine either way..Romo is so far above those guys why would he want to be backup?

Facts-He owns and I mean by a longshot ALL the DC QB records..N SBs sure but you cant take away his records. He was a bonifide franchise QB played his 10yrs and set records..its team game but hes no backup Mccown an his brothers are career backups , dont get it twisted..

but to stay on track we NEED a better backup then rush or white , Im watching Hill with the Saints(they also have Teddy) and Tyrod with Chargers and other this preseason ALL better options at backup then ours..we have virtually PS guys..no true 2nd to dave some gmaes or a season..should be addressed on cut down day

Sign Romo to a 2 year deal and in turn extend Zeke and sign Byron and Jaylon now and you got Superbowl VI waiting to be placed in Jerry's office.

:muttley::laugh::lmao::lmao2::facepalm:

Romo’s CBS extension will be in the neighborhood of $10mil per year; this salary for a job that requires a @2 day work week and which will only go higher over the next 30rs or so, which is realistically how long his broadcasting career might be expected to last should Tony desire so.

Please let us know the next time Jerry Jones offers ANY backup QB anything close to $10mil per year, let alone a ridiculous $28mil per, for a @6 day work week — especially an injury-prone guy who’s been out of the game for 2 years and has rarely played since 2014.

1. Who said backup?
2. What is Tony's injury?
3. Who said pay Romo $10 mil?
4. Who is "us"?
5. Yo! Why you mad, bro?

Romo gets paid 10 mil to call football games. His job keeps him plugged in with the league and also keeps him a household name across the country.

He also gets to play golf at a high level regularly and compete against pros and high level golf amateurs.

He is living the dream right now. Why come back? Honestly?

One last point.

Romo hasn’t trained or practiced in over two years.

He hasn’t played a meaningful game in 3 years.

How come All of the best QB’s spend all off-season training, practicing, throwing to receivers, going to QB camps?

Do they just do all that stuff for the heck of it? To kill time? Or does it take all that preparation and practice to keep playing at a high level?

To think Any QB could just come back after years off with no training or practice, and just lace them up and lead a team on a super bowl run, quite frankly is just silly nonsense.

Romo is definitely not coming back. The Cowboys aren't the only NFL team. I'm sure if he really wanted to play he could have pursued that angle a few years ago with a different team. That said, the sad truth is he's probably better than our two backups 3 years removed from the game.
What do you mean the Cowboys aren’t the only NFL team? They are the only NFL team to root for. This is like finding out Santa wasn’t real when I was a little kid. (Sarcasm)

"Silly nonsense" is redundant.
Nonsense is going into the season with only a midrange passing game.
Dak might be able to throw long, but where is the accuracy?
Silly nonsense is us having only a midrange passing game in which the opposing safeties play tight and blitz us crazy.
Silly nonsense, is our primo WR playing only 10 steps beyond the LOS because Dak has a limited range.
