It's probably a combination of things but he knows better then anyone that 1 hit and your career can be in jeopardy so why would you leave enough guaranteed money to take care of you're family, their family, and their families family sitting on the table.

Which is why I can't see Dak not signing before the season. He has too much to lose and a top 5 offer is more then he is worth anyways.
