We’ve already tried the RB by Committee. An epic fail which is why we drafted Elliott. Lol

If we paid Dak based on his talent level we could afford Zeke and Cooper.

we had retread rb by committee.

3rd round rb and 4th round rb are the normal for teams.
we have pollard.
just draft another one next year to pair with pollard.

zeke just needs to learn the hard way what leverage means.

we will find out what dak can do this year with a good wr corp.

Who cares about learning the hard way. That’s for young punks in the real world.. We’re trying to win a championship. We need every thug who can play,

And yes, normal for teams with more elite QB’s and prolific passing offenses.

sure, but dont jeopardize the next 5 years for 1 year.
paying him sets the team up for huge problems with negotiations for many players that need to be signed.
zeke getting punished will tell players and agents there is a price for pushing too far.

you pay when you have to.
not 2 year early.
in 2-3 years, zeke's prime is probably done.
why waste valuable cap dollars.
we got him locked up in contract for 2 years and can franchise him for another year if needed.

he can sit out the 1st ten games of each year.
it will just save us 2/3 of his salary
and we get to use him for the important part of the season - the playoffs.

we drafted pollard this year.
draft another rb in the 3rd or 4th next year and pair him up with pollard.
then have zeke come in after game 10 each year.

I hold the opinion that the RB from Ohio St. is a special talent. I may be in the minority Waldo. So, I don't buy into the Pollard hype. These late round backs are Alfred Morris. Starter material for two to three years and then...nothing. If Pollard can be half of what Morris was...Dallas is lucky. But it can't be sustained because the talent isn't there IMO.

The posturing by this team is annoying.

Sure, if we could win 1 I’d sacrifice the next 10 years like we’ve sacrificed the last 25 years.

There’s no guarantees for the future. You must try to win now.

Pollard could be a fine addition but he didn’t even carry the load at Memphis.

Some fans are so silly. They haven’t seen him one play against first team defenses for a game and they are All In on him. Lol

I’m assuming no one here listened to local broadcast last night with Emmitt and Michael?

that is you.
and even if zeke, dak and cooper all there, our chance to win the superbowl is less than 50-50

annoying because u want the player to get more $

morris was a great player in his day.
spending a 3rd and 4th round pick every 4 years is fine.

zeke's prime is probably more than 50% spent anyway.
why should the team even give him an extension.

i would just leverage the contract.
if he wants to come in game 11, fine.
get those 3rd and 4th round pick rbs or just spend 5-7 mil per year for a 2nd tier back.
the data shows that a 2nd tier back is fine.
throw him out like the garbage he is in 2-3 years.

What’s our chances to win a SB without them in next couple years?

actually zeke is under contract for 2 years.
if he does not want to come in until game 11, then fine.
his prime is probably done in 3 years anyway.

spend the money on dak and cooper.
what money we save on zeke, i would use it to sign gallup assuming he takes the next step.

We agree to disagree on player contracts. All good.

Ask any team in the league who they'd rather have and it won't be DLAW

Huh? Ask any team and they say DLAW all day long. Ask any fan, and you may get a different answer.

Do you really believe "punishment" will work? You must not know human nature. The precedent was set years ago.

You didn’t answer the question ?

Let’s assume he does return after week 10. If his loss prevents us from getting a bye then it most likely lessens our chances in playoffs.

So , I’ll ask again. If Zeke doesn’t play does it lessen our chances to play for a championship. You said it was 50-50 with him. What is it without him?

I can’t stand Zeke personally. He’s a frikin Thug. But this league is driven by talent.

Like I said . If we’re prepared to make him 2nd highest paid RB, then we can handle a million or two more.

I don’t care anything about the money . I just want him on the field.
he has been with the cowboys for over three years and they still have won more than a wildcard playoff game he rushed for less the 60 yards in the rams game last year I think they are a better team with him but the qb and the coaching are what will determine how good the cowboys season will be

I continue not to sense this type of hostility towards Elliott from my surrounding fans here. We are all concerned for the effects without Elliott but not this hostility towards him holding out.

We all get he wants to be paid now.

And Jerry is willing to pay him now. It’s just a matter now of hashing out the million or two they are apart. All part of the business of the NFL.

But without his production and impact do we even make the playoffs ? We didn’t last time he missed games.
