What do you do if Dak is a dud without Elliott again?

Do we go running to Zeke to save the season and Daks career like Jerry did last year with Cooper?

Or do we let Dak go too and start all over next year?
All to save a couple million a year with Elliott. Lol

In such a bleak scenario I'd franchise Dak and look to the draft for a QB.
But what if Dak is neither stud nor dud, but instead is closer to "solid"?
That feels more likely than anything. IMO Dak's issues without Zeke were mostly due to the "Chaz Green Incident" rather than missing Zeke.
After that Atlanta game he was seeing ghosts like crazy.
Oddly enough, it seems like that subsided after the Atlanta game victory last year.
Like the mental "demons" were slain lol.

Dak struggled without Zeke more against the better teams we played much like he prob won’t struggle as much early in season against lesser opponents .

A 3-0 start could provide a false sense of security without Zeke against below .500 opponents.

Possible. But I'm not sure I'd underestimate Washington's defense if healthy.
Their front seven is very talented.
They should be a good test for Dak.

Would you consider Commanders a serious playoff contender? Or will they most likely be struggling to hover above .500?

Because of their QB situation they are probably a below .500 team, but I expect their defense to be stout, which is what's relevant to Prescott.
Whether he's going to struggle against good defenses or not without Zeke, the fact that their QB Case Keenum sucks certainly doesn't have any bearing on it.

Remember it’s also our dominating running game which lends support in TOP keeping our defense off the field.

I agree their front 7 has some talent and could create some issues but if their team still struggles because of offense then it should be an easier opponent for us.

Skins are a team that if QB takes off they could be a surprise and we could help them look better.

A couple of his lines stood out to me that Jerry said...

1. There hasn't been a team win the Superbowl with the leagues leading rusher since we did it.

2. We've had Zeke for 3 years and we didn't win a Superbowl.

He also said that they think they are better prepared to attack teams through the air when they take Zeke away. (That's is actually embarrassing that an NFL team wasn't more prepared for this anyways)

Jerry is dug in right now so whatever leverage anyone thought Zeke had by sitting out it doesn't seem to matter to the team.

Edit: He was on Ben and Skin BTW.. I should probably mention that

Trade the kid then Jerry and Stephen. Stop posturing. Don't franchise him, don't worry about his 5th year option...you don't need him right? Trade him now or let him walk after 2020. Fair move for someone who plays a position that doesn't help you win Super Bowls.

if dak is a dud, there is no championship and no season to save.
get better draft picks and draft a qb in the 1st and a rb in the 2nd.

Trust me, the TOP element isn't lost on me.
I don't think we totally lose that without Elliott, since the OL *should* be really good, and Pollard *looks* to be a viable runner and Morris isprobably at least average. Certainly not a given, since there is an element of projection before the season actually starts.
I have concerns about Dak, too, and I'm not sold yet, though fairly optimistic.
Where we disagree is that I do want to see him without Elliott. Because if he can't hack it without Zeke, given the fact that the offense STILL has above average talent without Elliott, then committing long term to Dak would prove to be a historical mistake.

I thought we already knew that? I’m just not sure Jerry wants to be proven wrong.

I said a dud without Elliott. We have seen what he is with leagues leading rusher and a WR1. A solid bus driver .

I think we need to see if two years of experience and supposedly being over the Atlanta nightmare from 2017 lends to better results than that 2017 debacle.

I welcome that. I just hate to waste another season. And I don’t really think Jerry wants to look a fool with Dak. I think he saw enough last year.

if he is a dud without zeke, he would not be very good with zeke.
this is the first time he has an offensive coordinator that seems a lot better than linehan and a wr1 and a wr2
dak could thrive without zeke or not.
i hope zeke sits out at least 6 games so we can see what dak is without him with the new passing systems and assets.
just get a solid rb by trade to pair up with pollard

Yea, we now have a great OC. We haven’t seen a down called in regular season already anointing him greater than Linehan. Lol
