Zeke on being highest paid RB: “Why? Because I think I’m the best.”

Would any of us feel differently if we were in Zeke's shoes? IMO he is undoubtedly the best RB in the league (with Barkley making a strong push). I don't think it's unreasonable to want to be paid as such. I also fully understand the team's view towards not wanting to clog the cap on the RB position. It's a difficult scenario but it's easy to see why it was a difficult contract to work out.

How is he immature? Bruh held out and got paid cause he is the Cowboys work horse....
Which off the field issue do you wish to start with? Only a matter of time he'll be suspended yet again and not only will the Cowboys have to pay, but the fans as well.

He's a bad egg. You can't change the facts. Goodell is licking his chops.
well, I think he's an immature idiot with a god complex

They were before Zeke’s trainer, Faulk, trashed Dak. I’m curious how that conversation went.

“Hey, Zeke, why are people connected with you saying I’ll be a bum after I get a contract? Don’t you want me to get my money, too?”
“Huh. Hey, man. I’ve been in Cabo. Ask my agent.”

“Yeah? Well then maybe you should stay down there.”

Elliott has already proven that he's the best in the last 3 seasons. And I don't really care if he's the best or 3rd, he's a complete RB that brings the offense up a notch.
I don't care about other teams and other RBs, Elliott can do it all fans are clueless if they continue to believe another RB on this roster could easily carry the load.
You don't have to like the guys character off the field, but you'd be a fool to dismiss his talent and not respect him. Because 31 other defenses do.

I completely agree with Zeke for holding out and getting his money...because of the position he plays.

I also reserve the right to clown on Jerry for all those backbone comments and then turning around and giving him $50 million guaranteed after also having the most expensive offensive line in football. Let's lock up the whole team to top of the market contracts. Never mind that this collection of players has never sniffer a Super Bowl.

Back it up, Zeke.

You wanted the target, now you have it. There are no excuses for you not being at the top of every major statistical category for TBs for the next 4-5 years.

And before any of you Zeke dolts want to scream anti-Zeke here, I'd say this about any TB we had that just signed a massive deal. I think TBs are a fungible commodity in the NFL so if we are paying one a freaking crap ton of money for the next 4-5 years, then that TB better be the best damn TB in the NFL, without question, over that period.

I love how so many on this site try and divide the fanbase by using terms like "Zeke dolts" or "Dak lovers" because they support one of the players. And just because you don't trash them to death, you are some boot licker. It's ridiculous.

It's a good deal for both sides.

Glad it didn't drag into the season.

And glad this saga finally ended.

You are proving my point. Yes, we saw a team win a SB with an average QB. But that's rare. Very rare.

Just like we have seen numerous teams win SBs without an elite TB. In fact, it's rare that a SB winner has a top paid, elite TB.

So with our average QB, you think a RB by committee would do for us? I mean, your point is valid that you CAN win a SB without and elite rusher, but with the Cowboys current makeup, with Dak at QB, you think we could?

I just don't. If you don't pay Zeke, you might as well tank and get a better QB if you want to get to the Super Bowl. There are a lot of ways to win it, but for the Cowboys to win it in the next 3 years what other options did Jerry have?

I dunno, pulling up a woman's top in public, knocking out a DJ, bullying a security guard, wearing a belly shirt and bow tie to draft day, carrying a purse (debatable between immature or confused)...just some thoughts.
So he's not a saint....let me know when he ever shows up drunk to practice, doesn't do his job on the field or harms a child....all that other bs you talking is laughable....Namath was flamboyant as hell but Zeke makes more so....

He's been the top RB for 3 straight seasons already. He doesn't need to prove it. He's already proven it. Jerry Jones called him the best player on the team today. So obviously, Jerry agrees with him.

lol I am sure all the guys making 1 mil and less just love him!
The truth is no one knows how the other players feel about him.
What does salary have to do with it? He's had nothing from surrounding teammates but accolades and respect.

Do you know something they don't?

Very true. I think the positive are WAY more annoying than the homerrif fans.

I for one think zeke has at least 3-4 years left as an elite level RB. He obviously can do it all at the RB position. I Think people really undersell what he does on alot of those 3rd and 1-2 yard plays. This guy literally keeps drives going by himself at times.

Zeke also has qualities that can be useful when his skills decline down the road. The best being his vision. It is second to none. Of course he has to stay away from the offseason drama as well.
