Pro tip: observe the one that cheer over giving a running back $15M with no possible outs until after 4.5 years. If those same people hate extending your quarterback for $33Mish and the guaranteed years not being as long, you'll know you're superior to them. Both in football knowledge and life.

I agree with that too. I do wonder what Dak would do under Nagy's scheme.

I imagine it would look about the same or a little worse because of the lack of offensive talent and having to play outside instead of in a dome most of the time.

I wasn’t a big believer that the Wentz contract hemmed us in much, but that Goff guaranteed money is going to kill us.

thats the issue we know by the EYE test those two throw a prettier ball then Dak, seem more natural and accurate BUT NUMBERS SAY OTHERWISE..

They nearly have identical td-int ration, Compl % , YPA, etc etc Dak has like 20yards less per game in total yards passing but 1st in W-L

It staggering to actually just a look at all the stats and they stack up nearly identical.. Its Hard to have Dak and His agent sit there and listen how he should take less,

back to the issue average QBs like Wentz, Goff , and the others before them like Carr, Cousins, Stafford, and JimmyG are getting big time market setting deals..its the owners I blame,

STOP PAYING AVERAGE QBS BIG TIME ELITE MONEY, that should be saved for the top 5 elite guys and everyone else falls under them..it should not be looked at differently then any other position,
.
how you stack up to your other positional contracts that have similar stats..IE your TIER..those guys all of them are tier 2 guys

tier one elite are rare Brady, Rogers, maybe Luck, Big Ben, and Wilson and soon PatrickMahomes they have arguments to be top market setters..

Listen.. It's just my opinion. I may be wrong.. But I look around the league and don't see a lot of terrible QB's on any team and I just don't see the Ryan Leaf / Jamarcus Russell busts at the rate like I used to see them.

You really have to search for a QB thats just "terrible" and it's guys like Eli, Flacco, and Nick Foles who are former Superbowl champions.

Andy Dalton? Nobody wants him but again he's nothing terrible.

Jameis Winston? Complete knucklehead but he probably does well in Dallas with less on his shoulders..

Derek Carr? I actually would love to see him in this offense.

You not "may be wrong", you're wrong. End if discussion.

Anyone that idolizes the dopehead Kid Rock, can't be taken serious in intellectual football discussions.
This is coming from a guy that idolizes an idiot that ruined his career with a racially offensive outburst .

It makes more sense for him to sign now then play into the season. Playing without a contract if it was offered just make's no sense to me.

Now that Wentz and Goff are signed Dak should know what his exact numbers are.
I personally wouldn’t pay him that kind of money but since they are I think it should be in the middle of those two contracts. More than WentZ and less than Goff.

I agree but Dak's okay and that's it too.
Dak is better than ok. Ive read all of your posts regarding him in this thread and its obvious you have an agenda. Judging by your display picture you probably blame Dak for Dez being gone. Dak is much better than ok and his win totals and 4th quarters prove that. Hes not perfect but to say hes just ok is laughable.

I'm kind of glad. Next year's offseason is going to be tough enough without Dak's contract hanging over their head.

Amari Cooper
Byron Jones
Maliek Collins
Jason Witten
Robert Quinn
Randall Cobb
Sean Lee
Tavon Austin
Joe Looney
Antwaun Woods (restricted)
Anthony Brown (good riddance)
Jeff Heath (finally!)
Tyrone Crawford (cap casualty?)
L.P. Ladoucier
Xavier Su'a-Filo
Christian Covington
Joe Thomas
Witten, Lee, Austin, gone or should be.

Nah. He did cameos on Curb Your Enthusiasm and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, of which all was forgiven by people who aren't so shallow to hold a momentary screw up against the person for the rest of his life. I'd say he's doing fine.

He'll forever be cemented as the greatest physical comedian of the 90s - with that one little "outburst" fading into obscurity as it should.

Yeah... Dallas is going to pay him whatever.. Just like Amari Cooper will probably come close to Julio Jones.. Dallas plays into that game with their guys. It takes players coming to them like Jaylon and La'el to get below market value.

Dak is playing hardball so Dallas will give him what he wants i'm sure. Dak has a lot of leverage if they don't do a deal this year because all they can really do is franchise tag him.

Dak is more then solid right now and is improving and does nothing but win. I get some of the hate, he isn't Romo and never will be, but that's alright, we lucked into that. But being able to just pick some guy and plug him in doesn't make any sense.

there are some things we can be thankful for

I'd let him play it out and possibly Franchise him if need be. The pieces are in place for SB. But I need to see improvement, either quicker decisions in the pocket or hitting more deep throws. I think Dak is Solid, and I'd take him over Goff ANY DAY since the boy genius (McVay) is behind his success. Wentz gets hurt too often. But I still won't break the bank unless I'm absolutely sure about him.

My thing is if i'm going to pay a guy top 5 money i'd like to see some elite production at some point and not have to point to team stats like Winning.

But Dallas won't care. They'll pay him.

In other news, Amari's contract is stalled and Stephen Jones said he's "not free to share why".

Any thoughts?
