Because he is a human being that just wanted to enjoy a night out. I'm sure he didn't go there wanting to get into a fight. But when bouncers start beating up your friends you try to help out as best you can. Me and you wouldn't stand a chance against 4-5 bouncers but he's a different story.
Did you get the full story? He and his friends were harassing a female bartender and when they refused to stop, the manager made them go outside and he came back in and that's when the fight started.

Is that enjoying a night out?

Know why we don't see more of this? Because the smart players do not put themselves in these situations. Even when all of that came out about the white house, they were keeping themselves off the radar.

I happened to be in the bar about 15' from where Dorsett was standing and the next day, without the internet, the rumor was all over that he'd been in a bar fight and pulled the bartender over the bar and slugged him. Part of that was true, the bartender did get slugged but that was 20' away from Dorsett and his party, he had nothing to do with that but he learned his lesson that Parcells tried to teach the players when he first got there, don't put yourself at risk.

Some feel "hey, they need to live their lives" and I agree with part of that. They need to make sure they don't jeopardize their earnings, potential earnings and reputations by putting themselves at risk.

Anyone but a pro athlete does that and who cares? If you're a Cowboy, you need to be ever aware you are copy for the sites like TMZ and everyone has a camera. Think these other players don't party? Hell yeah they do, but they're smart to keep their business out of prying eyes.

Crawford just thought it was a typical Saturday night at hockey camp, why is everyone so upset?

Ya know, there are some teams that wouldn't wait for the league office to act. Is that the image that the Joneses will allow for this team? There are actually owners that care about the image their team projects to their market, particularly the young fans.

I just wonder if there is anything a player can do that will get him disciplined by this team? Hell, they had a player kill another one through stupidity and waited for the league to act.

I am not a prude, I don't expect choirboys but I do expect players not to get in some bar room brawl that they started. Not only do I think this team has a lowered behavior bar, I don't think they have one at all. And they know it.
Lucky whitehead.

He did not do that. One of his ppls did. Unfortunately everyone has friends and relatives that get a little dumb. It only went south when 10 bouncers decided to fight them. And harassing a female bartender like hitting on her too aggressively? lol my goodness.

NOT CONDONING this kind of behavior, but this is normal and common place in the NFL. This happens no more now than it did back in the 40's,50's,60's,70's and onto today. Difference is, the age of the internet where nothing is private and swept under the rug. We know about these things instantaneously. Fair or unfair, that's the facts...and Crawford must be aware of this. It does beg the question, why, and how did OBJ get a free pass when he was video taped with coke and hookers on his bed? Just sayin...if we gonna call out one guy, why not others? The league does have rules for off the field conduct and so do the teams. Surely we have equal justice? lol...
Ray, you gotta stop with the conspiracies man. I agree with 90% of your posts but c’mon.

We all know what Odiva was doing but there is no actual proof. There’s no victim, no complainant, nothing. If the league started suspending people over pictures and videos without a “victim”, Dak could be suspended and Zeke would probably be banned.

For example, who’s to say Dak wasn’t smoking a blunt in his boat party picture? The same with Odiva?

Crawford isn’t even comparable to Odell. One is a video with no victim the other is someone clearly using unwarranted physical force against another person. Keep it apples to apples.

And you need to raise your standards. And frequent better establishments.
I used to work as a bouncer in my younger days so I wouldn't have student loans like so many do. Don't judge my standards without knowing who I am. Some people just can't help themselves and be pricks. I guess that's how you were raised. See, I'm just doing what you do.

Not sure who TMZ is, but they seem to always put up crap right before a game.

They had all summer to put this stuff up.

Yellow journalism.

But....it doesn't excuse his actions.

They pay money to people who capture pictures and video clips. Now days everyone has a smart phone. Players need to be smarter about their actions

I've seen much worse. This was nothing. Some of you need to get out more.

Judge yourself before you talk to others about it.You seem to have no problem giving unsolicited advice about others "needing to get out more". But I'm sure the rules are different for you than for other people.

He looks pretty scummy in this. This wasn't spur of the moment violence. He had plenty of time to cool off in between scuffles and didn't control himself.

He looked drunk off his ***, stumbling around, swinging wildly.
